Peacockery Pick: WWE Total Divas – A Leg Up (season one, episode seven)

By Kat Bourne on 27th January 2024

First airing on September 8, 2013, the seventh episode of Total Divas – “A Leg Up” – aired on E!  You can find it now streaming on Peacock, Hulu, and internationally through WWE Network.  It drew a 1.09 in the ratings.

There are some appearances by people I don’t very much care to see ever again in this series, including one this episode.  I’m going to mostly ignore them here as best can while moving forward in the series.  Hopefully this recap will be a distraction if you need one, and I promise to give you a break from the onslaught of his face being the featured image of the morning and evening news updates.  Here, look at Trinity instead!

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas – Diva Las Vegas (Season 1, Episode 6)

By Kat Bourne on 12th January 2024

Welcome back to the wonderful (?) world of Total Divas.  I needed a good month off of so from recapping this due to life in general and the possibility of seeing Brodus Clay, but we’re back in business.

The sixth episode of Total Divas aired September 1, 2013 on the E! Network.  It pulled in a 1.52 rating, which would be its peak until a season two episode in March.  Nowadays you can find it on Peacock, Hulu and internationally on the award-winning WWE Network.

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas Season 1, Episode 5 – Feuding Funkadctyls

By Kat Bourne on 15th December 2023

The fifth episode of Total Divas, titled “Feuding Funkadactyls,” debuted on the E! Network on August 25, 2013.  It scored a 1.67 rating, the highest of the entire series.  For perspective, that’s higher than every episode of wrestling excluding SmackDown that aired last week.  Funkadctyls = ratings.  (Yes, I know the viewing landscape has changed.)

This episode can now be found on Peacock, Hulu (but not through Disney+), and internationally through WWE Network.  You can also purchase it in the various places you can purchase TV episodes.

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas Season One, Episode Four – “The Fat Twin”

By Kat Bourne on 7th December 2023

Welcome to the fourth episode of Total Divas.  It’s my birthday today!  What a gift.  The gift of Eva Marie doing things.

Episode four, titled “The Fat Twin,” originally aired August 18, 2013 on E!  You can watch along on Peacock, WWE Network or Hulu.

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas (Planet Funk is Funked Up – season 1, episode 3)

By Kat Bourne on 30th November 2023

This week, we start right off in San Diego with Nikki & Brie, WWE Divas taking a ride.  Nikki says that her parents didn’t care and she didn’t do a lot of homework, so that’s why she doesn’t use a lot of big words or sound “super smart.”  They debate the correct term for a person who cuts down trees as Brie tells us that having “twin language” has hurt their regular language skills.

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas (season 1, episode 2)

By Kat Bourne on 21st November 2023

It’s a little over a decade since WWE and E! first graced us with Total Divas, and as the diva (by default, really) of this site I’ve taken on the task of watching the series for the first time.  The exclusion would be the first two episodes which I have watched.  This time, however, I’m all in.  Will I regret it?  Probably!

Last week we watched the series premiere, which you can find here.  All episodes are available for your viewing and streaming pleasure on Peacock and Hulu in the US and on WWE Network elsewhere.  Episode two, titled “A Tango With Fandango,” first aired August 4, 2013.

Peacockery Pick: Total Divas (Season 1, Episode 1)

By Kat Bourne on 14th November 2023

Here we are, “Total Divas.”  Believe it or not, I’ve only seen the first two episodes of this despite being the target audience.  This is my chance to change that.  You know, because there are other better shows like “Better Call Saul” that I could finish but then I’d miss out on Eva Marie’s story arc.

This show was crafted largely by the same minds behind MTV’s “Real World” with some WWE supervision.  Unlike “Real World,” these women aren’t strangers.  They’re divas!  All accounts are that, per reality TV rules, not everything we’re going to see is reality.  Things also appear out of order sometimes.
