Mercedes Moné Challenges Bayley To One More Match

Mercedes Mone and Bayley spoke to each other on an Instagram live session, and the pair spoke about their match at the 2015 NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, which is often regarded as one of the best female matches in the company’s history. As they spoke, Mone said that she was looking to add a ninth championship to her trophy cabinet, and Bayley responded that she’d like to win just one title. Mone then issued a challenge in jest for Bayley to come and challenge her for one of her title belts.

New AEW World Tag Team Champions Crowned At Forbidden Door

Brody King and Bandido captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship last night on Forbidden Door as they were able to capitalise on Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona’s interference in the match to hit their tag finisher and get the pinfall victory to begin their first reign as tag team champions.

2 Titles Change Hands At NXT Heatwave

In more title change news, two title belts changed hands at WWE NXT Heatwave as DarkState’s Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin defeated Hank Walker and Tank Ledger to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship, and Ash by Elegance defeated Jacy Jayne and Masha Slamovich in a Triple Threat Match to win the TNA Knockouts Title. Oba Femi also successfully defended his NXT Championship in the main event of Heatwave.

Star-Studded Guest List Celebrate Vince McMahon’s 80th Birthday

Vince McMahon held a party for his 80th birthday yesterday in New York, and the party was attended by some huge names from the wrestling world, including the likes of The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool, Kane, John Cena, Gerald Brisco, Sheamus, Bruce Prichard, JBL, Sgt. Slaughter, his son Shane McMahon, and Ron Killings. There were also some notable musical guests at the former WWE Chairman’s birthday party, as there were live performances from Kid Rock and AC/DC.
