Seth Rollins Provides Injury Update
By Craig Ballantyne on 16 July 2025
Seth Rollins has provided an update after getting an initial assessment for his knee injury.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Seth Rollins injured his knee during his match with LA Knight. The injury occurred near the end of the match when Rollins landed on his feet from a moonsault. The Visionary collapsed on the mat in pain and Knight quickly finished the bout with a BFT.
At the post-Evolution press conference, Triple H admitted that things didn’t look good for the star, but he was hoping for the best.
Although injured, Rollins still made his slot as a guest host on the Rich Eisen Show, and gave an update on his current status during the broadcast.
Seth Rollins Believes He Will Be Out Of Action For Extended Period Of Time
On the show, Rollins explained that whne he landed from the moonsault, he felt his knee “pop and buckle.”
“I was in a match with LA Knight and I hurt my knee. I was doing a move I do all the time, a moonsault, and I landed on my feet. When I landed, I felt my knee kind of pop and buckle. We got out of the match and move forward.
The star went to see a specialist on Monday, but his knee was too swollen to investigate the damage. However, without a firm diagnosis, Rollins believes he will be out for an extended period.
“Monday, I was in Birmingham, Alabama, where our specialist is. We tried to take a look at the knee. There was some imaging; it was a little too swollen, so we’re going to take another look, hopefully in a week or two here in LA. Try to get some sort of firm diagnosis and we can go from there. I am not a doctor, I only know my body and what I feel.
“What I feel is that this is going to be me out for an extended period of time. This isn’t the first time I’ve been injured, it won’t be the last time. I’ve always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind. Can I make it back for WrestleMania season? I feel good about that. ”
“Beyond a firm timeline, I just won’t know until we receive a clearer answer from the MRI. That’s where it’s at.”
Rollins has suffered knee injuries in the past, most recently missing two months of action to recover from a torn MCL following WrestleMania XL in 2024.
If Rollins is forced to miss an extended amount of time, what do you think should happen with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the meantime? Will Paul Heyman find a new client? As ever, let us know your thoughts below.
