The WWE Main Event Rewind – 9.24.26

What’s that? Main Event is in the news? MAIN EVENT? Are you sure you don’t mean Saturday Night’s Main Event? Alright, well I’m sure this will be fine. Let me read the news.

Rumble? Interesting. Is that some new wrestling-themed streaming app? Let me look further into this, I’m sure it is fine.

Oh no. Yikes. Well, we have a few more weeks of Main Event on YouTube and then I’m calling it a day for the Main Event Rewind. I’m hardly the line of morality here sometimes (I reviewed the Saudi Rumble and WWE in general which is questionable nowadays), but I don’t think Main Event is worth downloading THAT particular app and everything surrounding it. No thanks. It’s a shame for Main Event which seemed to finally gain an audience and actual advertising from the company on YouTube, but surely there is money coming from the site where the top featured right now is about chemtrails. Maybe it’ll come back to YouTube one day!

Aero Star and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Laredo Kid vs Fraxiom (Nathan Frasier and Axiom)

Nash introduces Aero Star and Laredo Kid as the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions which… well, they are not for several reasons. Kid shares that set of belts with La Hiedra. Kid last appeared on Main Event back on the April 30th episode where he pinned Joaquin Wilde in his only televised Main Event appearance. This is Aero Star’s Main Event debut. Fraxiom come around here a lot, most recently in a loss to the War Raiders a few weeks ago.

I imagine this will be a fast one that my play-by-play will do no favors. Fraxiom overwhelms Kid while Blake tells us we are having a special appearance by the AAA Tag Team Champions later in the program. We discuss the Dusty Cup as the luchadores double team Axiom in the corner. Star boots Axiom in the corner. Kid and Star continue to double team Axiom, smashing him to the mat with a two-man codebreaker. Axiom finally flips out of danger and tags in Frazier who slingblades Kid to the mat and superkicks Aero Star off the apron. Frazier heads up and nails a frog splash for a very near fall. Laredo goes to the second rope, Aero climbs to his shoulders and leaps off onto Axiom. Frazier flies in to break up the pin and toss Kid to the outside while Star does the same to Frazier. Axiom catches Star on the top and hits a nice Spanish Fly. Frazier topes out onto Laredo while Axiom nails Star with the Golden Ratio, giving him the pin.

Fraxiom defeats Laredo Kid & Aero Star when Axiom pins Aero Star. A good tag team match! Not surprisingly at all, these two teams had good chemistry. I’d recommend this one.

The LWO (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro) vs AAA Tag Team Champions The Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno)

Non-title of course. The LWO are maybe the biggest Main Event regulars of all. They were just here last week and are making their eighth appearance in 2026, their third in as many weeks. The tag champs are both making their Main Event debuts.

Galeno slams Wagner Jr. onto Del Toro. Del Toro shows some frustration as Wilde isn’t where he wants hin to be to tag him. Wilde does tag in and superkicks Wagner Jr. before choking him on the ropes. LWO double team Galeno as Vic and Blake wonder if LWO have frustrations with their places in their company. Del Toro covers Wagner Jr. with the cocky cover. Galeno tags in and clotheslines both LWO members to the outside where Dr. Wagner Jr. flips onto them. Wagner Jr. climbs to the top of Galeno’s shoulders and leaps off onto Wilde, getting him the pin.

The Wagner Brothers defeat the LWO when El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. pins Joaquin Wilde. A lot of this was LWO testing out their heel side. I did enjoy seeing the Wagners but you aren’t missing too much if you skip this one.

Big Cass vs Josh Briggs

Oh, here’s Cass again. He defeated Brooks Jensen back a few weeks ago on this very program. Josh Briggs has been on this program a few times, most recently on that April 30th episode where he lost to big Otis. I sure am going to miss weekly Big Cass and LWO matches when this show leaves YouTube in a few weeks. Commentary hypes this up as a hoss fight as the two men are almost the same size. Big Briggs? There’s something there. Cass tries for a choke slam, Briggs punches out. Both try for the big boot at the same time before Cass knocks Briggs to the outside.

Cass follows out and Blake wonders if Cass is still seeing Je’Von Evans when he is battling future stars. I do appreciate what Vic and Blake bring to this show. Cass delivers a low lariat and pummels Briggs. Cass drops the big elbow three times as Vic attempts to tell us the quiet crowd is because they are uneasy with this collision. Briggs dodges another elbow and throws rights at Cass, trying to knock down Cass with lariats. Briggs smashes Cass with a big splash in the corner but Cass runs right behind him and smashes him in the other corner. Cass tries for the boot, Briggs drops Cass with his own and gets a near fall. Briggs calls for the lariat, Cass catches him into the sidewalk slam and gets the pin.

Big Cass pins Josh Briggs. I do appreciate them trying to give Briggs some hoss shine, but the crowd wasn’t feeling this one and neither was I.
