WWE Main Event – 9.03.2026

It is Thursday night and that means the A-show of WWE, Main Event, has rolled around once again.

Matt Cardona vs Kit Wilson

KIT WIL SON! Finally, I get Kit on my show. This is Kit’s first Main Event match since the May 28th episode when he lost to Axiom. This is also his first televised match period since May 28th. He went on an adventure of being electrocuted and captured by Danhausen before escaping and shaking it all off. Cardona is a Main Event veteran, appearing on the very first episode of the show but most recently losing to Ricky Saints on the July 16th episode.

This crowd is pretty into Kit’s entrance despite him not having one for months. Hopefully we’ll see a lot more of Cute Kit in the months to come. The fans give Matt some woo woo woos and he woos for them. Matt drops Kit to the mat with a backdrop and grabs his elbow as he lands, then dropkicks off the second rope. For those of you who have been paying attention to the internet, those moments were when Matt tore his triceps. Sometimes it is the little freak things that put you on the shelf. Matt keeps going, rolling Kit back into the ring and clearly favoring his elbow. Kit runs right into a Rough Ryder and they take it on home.

Matt Cardona pins Kit Wilson. This was clearly cut short due to Matt’s injury so there isn’t much to judge, but they covered it the best they could.

AAA World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) vs Fraxiom (Nathan Frazier and Axiom)

The Vikings haven’t been on this show since the January 8th episode where they lost to the mysterious Los Americanos. Axiom were here less than a month ago, losing to the MFTs in a match where I spent half the review talking about Haku’s glorious Main Event appearance. I am pretty sure this is also the first appearance of the AAA World Tag Team Championship belts on this show. This is non-title though because why would they defend these belts on Main Event? Titles don’t get defended here, this is just for fun.

The first few minutes of this happen under a cloud of smoke as there was more pyro smoke than ventilation. What is this, 1998 Raw? Fraxiom set the pace early with double teaming until Axiom runs right into big Erik. Commentary shouts out SmackDown investigative journalist Cathy Kelley as Ivar splats Axiom to the mat. Axiom chops and rolls to a tag to Frazier who leaps onto Ivar and then crossbodies over Erik. Frazier charges and runs right into Ivar’s ass before Ivar goes to the top rope and moonsaults, missing the rolling Frazier. Frazier rolls to tag Axiom and they double team Erik and then both men dive onto the Vikings. Nathan dives a second time right into both of their arms, Axiom flies down onto them to save their partner. It takes both of Fraxiom to roll Ivar back in. Erik tags in and passes Axiom right into Ivar’s arms for a slam. They both pick up Frazier for a double chokeslam into a power bomb, getting the easy cover from there.

The War Raiders defeat Fraxiom when Ivar pins Nathan Frazier. This was pretty great, really. I’m always in for the War Raiders getting a chance to do things and Fraxiom bumped around well for them. This one is worth a watch!

A good episode this week. Wilson-Cardona didn’t get to really get going due to the injury, but it is cool to see the fans into both Wilson and Cardona. The tag match was a highlight of the week and is worth your time.
