Nightingale appeared to hurt her hand during an attack by Moné on the August 26 episode of Dynamite in Glasgow, with the challenger specifically targeting it during the segment. According to the auction listing, Hogan later gave the championship to the son of a close family friend, whose family retained it for years. Hogan defended the title against King Kong Bundy inside a steel cage at WrestleMania 2 in 1986, with the match remaining the only traditional steel cage bout to headline WrestleMania.
