WWE Evolve October 28th 2026

By Phrederic on 29 October 2026

Welcome back to Evolve and these are going to be going out a bit later than usual due to my work occupying my time on Wednesday evenings, but never fear, for the g-g-g-g-ghosts are still around as spooky season is still around! And we start with Elijah Holyfield talking about the upcoming triple threat against Braxton Cole and Marcus Mathers, don’t blink, cause somebody is getting knocked out, one, the other, or both. It’s Elijah’s first triple threat and only one man is getting their hand raised…him.

But before we continue, let us catch up on what’s going on in the greater WWE ecosystem.

Impact – Smackdown – Heroes Imortales – Raw – NXT – NXT Rewind

Smoke! Science! Posing! Purple! It’s Evolve!

Harley Riggins vs. Milosh Jovic

Background: Harley is our big bully biker with dark clothes, greasy, long hair, and an overall nasty demeanor. Previously he destroyed the champion, Harlem Lewis with some steel steps and is now crowing over his brutality as he hopes to get another title shot. Milosh is a sorta young athlete dude who has a ‘racer gimmick’ with the checkered gear and racing glasses. He’s big, bald, and jacked up but he’s pretty clearly presented as a jobber of sorts but an athletic one.

The Match: Harley mocks Milosh before they lock up and the more experienced Riggins brings the Serb to the ropes and slaps him around before driving him down with an armbar and more paintbrushes and then counters a whip with a shoulder and a taunt. An international ends with a couple Milosh armdrags and his own armbar. Harley breaks, gets a flying big boot, ground and pound, and an elbow drop before a hotshot sets up a running lariat for 2 by Riggins and then a chinlock as commentary runs down Harley’s nicknames and discusses his monstrous behavior. A swinging facelock by Harley but Milosh backdrops Riggins and then a three bump comeback with a pair of shoulders and a dropkick but Harley counters a body slam and lands a spear and the Shotgun Bang (goozle lift knee strike) gets 3.

**

1 cup of cubed acorn squash contains 32% of your daily recommendation of dietary fiber. I’ll admit that Harley Riggins is growing on me. He’s a big mean nasty heel who wrestles like it and knows how to mix in enough violence with his trash talk. Milosh is a willing bumper even if he’s as of yet, nothing else other than a dude with a nice physique…but as I’ve always said, it’s far more impressive that you kill some jacked up guy than some flabby loser. Fun squash and I have no complaints about it, even Harley scrambling at the end makes the whole thing look more impressive.

Post-match Harley stomps out Milosh some more before dragging him outside, sending Jovic into the steps and then Riggins picks up the steps to pulverize him (as Riggins did to Harlem earlier) but refs stop him and Riggins puts the steps down while talking junk to the champ.

Backstage Marcus Mathers talks about being Phillie’s Finest and what that means (I have too many jokes here but I will let the comments section finish that lob). Marcus clarifies its about having an attitude, you like them, you don’t like them, it doesn’t matter but they wear their heart on their sleeve and it doesn’t matter. But recently Marcus realizes he’s not doing so well in Evolve, and maybe he’s been smiling too much so tonight he’s showing the fighting spirit of Philly and he’s going to show Braxton Cole and Elijah Holyfield what Phillie’s Finest really means.

Well…I realize why maybe Marcus Mathers doesn’t talk a lot.

Next we have Jasper Troy (tugs collar) making his entrance and he says CUT MY MUSIC and he’s in Evolve to dominate, to take control of this brand, and be the Mon-Star Jasper Troy is. He shuts down the cheers, says he’s here for himself, not the fans, and calls the locker room a bunch of 180 pound high-flying kids who think they can stand across from him. And Jasper lets out an open challenge right here and right now, and we have an answer in the returning from injury Jax Presley.

Jasper Troy vs. Jax Presley

Background: Jasper of course is the big (now released) monster of various heel-face alignments in NXT and now Evolve but now is a big heel guy. Jax Presley was Harley Riggins former (and current?) tag-partner in the ID vs. PC feud from a year ago, and as I’ve always said, him and Riggins doing a Fusion Dance creates Kevin Nash. Jax has long, luxurious hair and baggy pants. He got hurt doing something but is back and is looking quite trim and lean and he is slapping hands so I guess he’s a face now.

The Match: Jasper with a quick slam but Jax slips out and Presley tries his own but Troy is JUST TOO BIG and Jasper slugs away in the corner and tosses Jax around. Body slam and then a delayed suplex gets a cover but Jasper whiffs a splash and Jax gets a crossbody for 1…and Troy gets a bearhug and shakes Presley around. Jax breaks by getting in the ropes but gets his leg caught on a boot attempt and Jasper mauls him with some clubbing blows and stomps away. Refs break it up and Troy whiffs a corner charge and Jax tries another slam but Jasper is JUST TOO BIG and Troy lands on him and then gets a pair of jumping splashes, a punt to the ribs, then a corner splash and a swinging side slam for 2. Some kitchen sink knees to Presley and Jax talks junk while bullying him and then cranks in an abdominal stretch and Jax breaks on the ropes…and Jasper just picks him up for a powerslam before eyeing the ropes. Troy misses a Vader Bomb and Jax fires up for some jabs and a back elbow before a corner uppercut series sets up the slam (third time’s the charm) and then a lariat gets 3.

*½

Jasper Troy is a guy another company should pick up on. Jax Presley…yeah, I didn’t buy him at ALL as this scrappy babyface guy they’re selling him as. Agenting was fine and nothing was blown, but yeah, I don’t feel it.

Now we have the Mog Squad doing a vignette where apparently Max Abrams facial reconstruction has gone badly…and now we need to pray for Max. We get some pretty bad comedy and then Max tries to cut a promo through a gauze-wrapped face.

Now we have Sloane Jacobs introducing the Nationwide Admiration Ceremony for Nikkita Lyons Evolve Women’s Championship defenses. Jacobs runs down all the people who lost to Nikkita and then does her extended heel introduction bit for Lyons. Nikkita fakes thanking Sloane for her support but then gives credit to her spirit guides instead and Jacobs is annoyed. We need to cleanse our spirits and acknowledge Nikkita…and we are interrupted by another ghost in Anya Rune. Oy vey. Anya has been on a winning streak and calls out Lyons but Sloane and Nikkita just laugh at her. Jacobs talks junk and says that Nikkita could beat Thea Hail, Wendy Choo, and Skylar Raye at the same time…and out comes THE FOREMAN Timothy Thatcher who admires Rune’s guts…and says she needs another win to challenge Nikkita, so lets ,get Sloane Jacobs vs. Anya Rune on November 11th and Rune gets the shot if she wins. Lyons says that since Sloane is obviously going to win, she needs an actual next challenger…and Thatcher has something for her…and since that Lyons can beat Hail, Choo, and Skylar at the same time, that’s the match next week. And Anya *sighs* powers up and changes her outfit to knock out Sloane Jacobs with a terrible superman forearm and Lyons powders.

Well. That happened.

Now Shido Ash is working out and talking about how Viktor might be in Austria to ‘train’ but running solo isn’t anything new for him. He’s a Judo master and now he’s here to conquer wrestling. He destroyed Cappuccino Jones, and now it’s time to wreck Starboy next week.

Shido as this MTV judoka jerk works for me.

We have Laynie Luck and Aaron Rourke chatting backstage and Rourke wants to recruit Laynie to take care of Alix Brooks who keeps interfering in Kale Dixon’s matches. Luck says they’re both ID talent and wants a bounceback, so next week it’s Luck vs. Brooks.

Elijah Holyfield vs. Braxton Cole vs. Marcus Mathers

Background: Braxton Cole actually cuts a promo on his walkout and talks about how his intellect will win him the day. He already beat Elijah via DQ which proves Holyfield is all muscle and no brains. And Marcus has heart…but not the physical skills of Braxton Cole. Cole is the perfect package, size, brains, and athleticism. So yeah. Cole is the jerk smart guy heel. Elijah is the hothead butt kicker…and Marcus is the undersized scrappy fighter.

The Match: Robert Stone talks about how a match like this certainly would put the winner in championship contendership and how at a ‘weekly meeting’ they discussed it. I get that the idea of rankings and such in wrestling are very silly, but I appreciate whenever commentary TRIES to put some stuff over. Cole slugs Marcus down but Elijah double-legs Braxton into the corner for some shoulder thrusts…but Marcus tosses Elijah and Mathers gets some high-flying to put Cole down before Elijah gets a rollup and then an international leads to an Elijah fireman’s carry but Marcus tries a sunset flip and Braxton breaks that up and slugs down Marcus and gets some corner elbows on Elijah before tossing him. Mathers chops at Cole but Braxton gets his own to drop him. Marcus eats a boot but Elijah drags Cole out and drops him…and Marcus hits a tope on them both as we go to a break. Back in and Marcus gets a Stinger Splash on Braxton and then a dropkick for 2 but Braxton shoves him down and snaps Marcus on the ropes but Elijah is in to give some shots…but Holyfield gets caught coming in the ropes and Cole hits the knee to clip Elijah’s wheel and Braxton slugs away for 2 and then some stomps before cutting off an interfering Marcus. Knees from Cole and then a neckbreaker and now Marcus drags him out…but Cole just drops Mathers on the apron which lets Elijah fire up and drop Braxton with some shoulders, a flying clothesline and then a bulldog before a spinebuster…gets broken up by Marcus. Elijah eats a Marcus superkick and a second-rope stunner gets 2. It’s GAL is in the VIP Section cheering Marcus on and now Cole boots Marcus now but misses a slam and Mathers gets a hook kick but his suplex is turned into a release falcon arrow by Braxton for 2.5. Elijah flies in but eats a Braxton eyepoke and then an uppercut to knock Holyfield outside before Cole tosses him back in…but stops to talk trash to the fans and yanks in a chair to brain Elijah…but Mathers grabs the chair from Cole and that shocks Braxton long enough for Unleash The Beast (uppercut) and Elijah gets 3.

**¼

Boy I am OVER triple threats. This agenting was especially sloppy but I liked the finish if nothing else. Marcus and Elijah have beef but they’re both faces and Mathers won’t let Elijah get brained. Braxton is maybe a guy a company might want to look at, as dull as he is in-ring, he tries to cheat, he’s got size, and he can talk a little bit. Marcus feels like he’s going to end up in TNA and Elijah…well I mean…he might have something (though he’s kinda small).

We end the show with the challengers for the fatal fourway for the Evolve Women’s Championship match week. Thea starts and says that Nikkita always has a buddy to help her out, but Thea stands alone and she’s gonna take home gold. Skylar Raye acknowledges title shots are like shooting stars, blink and you’ll miss it, she gave it her all last time, but she’s getting another chance and she won’t mess it up. Wendy talks about what she’s survived to become champion and a four way is a lot easier and she’s going to put Nikkita to sleep and be the first two-time champ.

Short, simple, to the point.

Okay, still a LOT of ghosts but some new names at least in the mix. Next week has the women’s fourway for the title with Nikkita defending against Thea, Skylar, and Wendy, but also we’ll get Laynie Luck vs. Alix Brooks and Shido Ash vs. Chazz “Starboy” Hall.

Thanks for reading, sorry about it being a bit late, and above all else, keep on Evolving my Evolvemaniacs.
