Dominik Mysterio To Defend WWE Intercontinental Championship Against AJ Styles At SummerSlam

Dominik Mysterio is set to defend his Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles at SummerSlam after Adam Pearce made the match official last night on Raw. Mysterio has been ducking Styles’ challenges in recent weeks, but can no longer hide from The Phenomenal One as the two will clash in New Jersey on either Saturday or Sunday of the two-night event.

WWE SummerSlam To Be Screened At Select U.S. Movie Theatres

Speaking of SummerSlam, it has been confirmed that WWE is partnering with Fandango (not that Fandango) to offer screenings of nights 1 & 2 of SummerSlam in select Regal Cinemas in the U.S. Fandango (again, not him) will offer two-night tickets or one-night tickets for either showing.

A-Town Down Under Split As New WWE World Tag Team Number One Contenders Are Crowned

The team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, known as A-Town Down Under, have quietly split as Waller confirmed on last night’s Raw in a segment that Theory is out with an injury and the team is no more. Also on Raw, new number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship were confirmed as Joaqun Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO will challenge The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for their title at some point.

JBL Says He Was Originally Set To Appear At TNA Slammiversary As Part Of Dropped Storyline

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has spoken about how he was supposed to be involved at Slammiversary in an angle that was dropped from the show. JBL said on an episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast that he was supposed to have a big role at the show, but he was dropped due to a decision made by “someone that was no longer there.” JBL said he was training and getting into shape for the role, leading many to believe he was gearing up for a wrestling comeback.
