Drew McIntyre & Randy Orton Excited To Work With Jelly Roll In WWE
By Craig Ballantyne on 14 July 2025
According to Triple H, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre are excited to be working with Jelly Roll in WWE.
The 40th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event opened with Randy Orton defeating Drew McIntyre with an RKO. Things didn’t end there, though, as Logan Paul attacked Orton, only for The Viper to be saved by Jelly Roll. McIntyre didn’t appreciate the Grammy-nominated star getting involved and dropped him with a Claymore before leaving to the back.
In the aftermath of the chaos, WWE announced that Orton and Jelly will team up to take on McIntyre and Paul at SummerSlam in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

Triple H Says Randy Orton & Drew McIntyre Are Excited To Work With Jelly Roll
During the WWE Evolution post-show, Triple H explained to Variety’s Shaheem Reid that Jelly Roll is dedicated to getting in the ring.
“Probably from the first time I met Jelly he has been saying, ‘I need to wrestle. I really want to do this. I’m telling you, I’ll be more dedicated than anybody else.’ He always says it. A lot of people say that and sometimes you end up where they think they want to do it and they think they’re going to be dedicated to it and they’re not. Other times you end up with Bad Bunny or Jelly or somebody that is super dedicated and wants to go all in.
“He’s been saying it. He told me a couple years ago, ‘Dude, I’m going to lose all this weight. I’m going to stay on you and I want to do something big with you guys.’ We’ve stayed in touch, he did exactly what he said. It might have been WrestleMania week that while we were out there, he went to one of our rings while we were in Vegas and we had him do some stuff. Everybody who was there was like, ‘Wow. He gets this.’ He proceeded to lose even more weight and the timing was right.
The Game revealed that Jelly has been training at the WWE Performance Centre as part of his weight loss journey.
“He’s at a place where he’s in his weight loss journey looking to get to the next level and increase that loss. He asked if he could come to the Performance Center and train with our trainers and get in the ring cardio-wise and get with our trainers, nutritionist, and our people, and base in between his tours out of the Performance Center and document all that. Part of that was he wanted us to see what he can do. He’s been in that ring every single day just going at it. He’s dedicated to it. I haven’t heard him complain once about being sore. He’s all in. He’s like a giddy kid.”
According to the Chief Content Officer, everyone involved in the SummerSlam match is excited to work with Jelly Roll, and likened it to actors getting to take on new roles.
“I’m excited for him. It’s a funny thing, how people look at it. Randy Orton is so excited to be doing this for him. Drew McIntyre is excited. Logan Paul (is excited). As soon as we mentioned any of this, those guys were like, ‘Oh my God, yeah. Let’s go.’ It’s fun and exciting for them and is an opportunity to do something different in a business where this is very serious a lot of the time. If you think about it as an actor doing the roles that you do. To have one that is different every now and then is incredible. They are super into it. His excitement for it is infectious. I get videos of him training every day where I’m like, ‘Wow.’ He’s busting his ass. It’s going to be incredible.”
