Brock Lesnar Set To Appear On WWE SmackDown

It has been reported that Brock Lesnar will be appearing on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown to build towards his match with John Cena at Wrestlepalooza.

Fightful Select have reported that sources from within WWE have confirmed that Brock Lesnar will be appearing on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, which takes place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

His appearance has not been officially confirmed by WWE, but it is expected that he will appear in a segment with John Cena to confirm that he will be Cena’s opponent at the upcoming Wrestlepalooza pay-per-view on September 20. Lesnar returned to WWE after two years away to attack Cena at the end of night two of SummerSlam to set up a future match.

It has also been reported that tonight’s episode of SmackDown will be the last episode of SmackDown that Cena appears on as part of his retirement tour.

When Was The Last Time Brock Lesnar Wrestled In WWE?

Brock Lesnar last competed for WWE at the 2023 SummerSlam on August 5, where he faced Cody Rhodes in the rubber match of their trilogy of bouts they had that year and ultimately lost to Rhodes.

Lesnar has not been seen in WWE until he returned at SummerSlam 2025, as he was named in the ongoing Janel Grant/Vince McMahon lawsuit that was filed in January 2024. It is alleged that McMahon offered Grant to Lesnar for sex in 2021 as part of negotiations for Lesnar to return to the company and that McMahon arranged for him to fly to Connecticut for the arranged encounter; however, the lawsuit states that this encounter did not occur.
