Brock Lesnar Moved To WWE Alumni Section Following WrestleMania 42

By Conor Renshaw on 8 May 2026

Brock Lesnar appears to be another step closer to retirement after quietly being moved from WWE’s active roster page to the company’s alumni section.

The update follows months of speculation surrounding Brock Lesnar’s future after his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 Night Two in Las Vegas. While WWE has not officially announced Lesnar’s retirement on television, several moments since WrestleMania have strongly hinted that his in-ring career may be over. Following the defeat to Femi on night two of WrestleMania 42, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots in the ring before embracing Paul Heyman and walking backstage.

In the weeks after the event, WWE aired multiple tribute-style video packages celebrating Lesnar’s career across Raw and SmackDown. The company also released farewell-themed merchandise tied to the moment, further fuelling speculation that the match marked Lesnar’s final appearance.

Lesnar’s move to WWE’s alumni section now adds more weight to the belief that the company internally considers his wrestling career complete, despite previous rumours suggesting a formal retirement could happen closer to SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar’s Wrestling Career

Since debuting in WWE in 2002, Lesnar built one of the most accomplished resumes in wrestling history. Alongside seven WWE Championship reigns and three Universal Championship runs, Lesnar also became UFC Heavyweight Champion and held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship during his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

His career highlights also include winning the 2003 and 2022 Royal Rumble matches and famously ending The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak at WrestleMania 30.

Although WWE has yet to issue an official retirement statement, Lesnar’s roster status change may signal the end of one of the most dominant careers in modern wrestling history.
