AEW Pays Tribute to Rebel with “Rebel Heart,” You Can Help Join ALS Fight
By Kat Bourne on 10 September 2026
Wednesday night, All Elite Wrestling presented a special “Rebel Heart” edition of Dynamite live from Athens, Georgia.
The episode paid tribute to AEW star Tanea “Rebel” Brooks, a longtime member of the roster maybe best known as a second for Dr. Britt Baker, D.D.S. Rebel was diagnosed with terminal ALS in March 2026 and has bravely and publicly battled the disease, showing a strength many of us don’t have and a desire to help further research of the disease to help those in the future.
Wednesday’s Dynamite opened with Rebel helping Dr. Baker host an episode of The Waiting Room, their talk show that started during the pandemic era, and Rebel (not Reba) trying to tell Britt that Britt forgot her glove.
”Rebel” chants happened all night but especially during a six-woman tag match when Rebel rolled out to give Dr. Baker the glove. After the match, Baker rode in Rebel’s lap up the ramp, both women overcome with emotion.
If you’d like to learn about Rebel’s battle or donate to the cause, AEW has a special Rebel Heart webpage available. Wrestler Jeff Cannonball is also currently fighting against ALS. You can visit his website here, learn about his career and battle, and help him as well.
