–WCW Prime had a new match featuring Big Bubba Rogers and Mark Starr.

–Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Champion Hulk Hogan in a dark room.  Hogan says he misses Andre the Giant and how it was unfair the Pontiac Silverdome did not chant Andre’s name.  He does his best to act dramatic, sniffing Andre’s old shirt, as he says he felt Andre’s presence when the Giant threw the shirt at him at Bash at the Beach and that rumors of Andre having a son were true.  Hogan concludes by saying that the time has come to rise and face the challenge of the Giant again and to do so he will have to fight through the Dungeon of Doom.  That journey will start on next week’s Main Event.

–Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan are calling the action that is taped, as always, from Orlando, Georgia.  Heenan discusses the celebration in Bucksnort, Tennessee for Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck’s tag team title win on WCW Saturday Night.

WCW Prime featured one new match on its July 24 broadcast so we will get to that match before going on to WCW Pro.

–Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan are doing the studio duties for today’s broadcast.  Heenan says that there is going to be a big parade in Bucksnort, Tennessee to honor Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck’s tag team title win on WCW Saturday Night.

–Heenan goes through a long story about how he was tending to a sick waitress at a Mexican restaurant after Bash at the Beach so that is why he could not pay for Okerlund’s dinner after Okerlund correctly predicted that Hulk Hogan would beat Vader at the pay-per-view.

–Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan are doing commentary and they are taped from Atlanta, Georgia.  The tapings took place on June 21, something to remember in relation to the scheduled main event.  Tonight’s episode is one hour in length.

–There were no new matches on WCW Prime so we go right to WCW Pro where Chris Cruise, Dusty Rhodes, and Larry Zbyszko.  They are kicking off a new set of tapings in Macon, Georgia that took place on June 26.

–Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan are in the booth and they are live from Huntington Beach, California.  Schiavone says that the crowd is the biggest ever to see a WCW event.  This passes the eye test but there was no accurate way to verify how many people were there to see the show since WCW did not sell tickets to the event.

–A video package hypes Meng.

–United States Champion Sting is interviewed by Gene Okerlund.  Sting says that he has home field advantage and the fans – including his mother and father who are at ringside – will give him the energy to defend the U.S. title.

–Eric Bischoff and Dusty Rhodes are doing commentary for today’s Bash at the Beach pre-show broadcast that is originating live from Huntington Beach, California.  The camera shot of fans on the beach surrounding the ring makes for a great visual.

–Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan are doing commentary as WCW Saturday Night returns to two hours in the lead up to Bash at the Beach.  The matches here were taped in Atlanta on June 21.

–A video package recaps the feud over the tag team titles between Harlem Heat, the Nasty Boys, and the Blue Bloods.

There were a few new bouts on WCW Prime for July 10, with Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes narrating the action.

–Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan do the studio duties and they do their best to sell the Shark as a legitimate threat to Hulkamania.

–A new Dungeon of Doom vignette sees Vader return in his mastodon mask.  Vader says he has crossed a new dimension and now has more power than Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania and he will fulfill his destiny and win the WCW title at Bash at the Beach.  The Master yells out more geography before he, Vader, and Kevin Sullivan scream “Vader time.”

–Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan call the action to kick off a new set of tapings at Center Stage in Atlanta that were filmed on June 25.  Tonight’s show is a one-hour episode.

WCW Prime for July 3 featured a few new contests so those will be recapped before we go on to WCW Pro.  Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes called the action for the Prime matches.

–Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan are at their desks in the studio for today’s broadcast, headlined by Randy Savage against Big Bubba Rogers.

–Okerlund hypes the Dungeon of Doom as a threat and how they are sending Vader out on a roadkill tour before Bash at the Beach.  Heenan says Vader could show up at any major sporting event to beat people up.

–A video package recaps the Hulk Hogan-Vader feud going back to Clash of the Champions in January.  Some footage from the USWA is spliced in as well, where Vader beat up some preliminary wrestlers in Memphis.
