Report: Bruce Prichard Leaving WWE

Long-time WWE executive Bruce Prichard is reportedly planning to retire from his role as Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent following WrestleMania 43 in 2027. According to PWInsider, multiple sources have confirmed that the 63-year-old is expected to step away from his current responsibilities and relocate from Stamford, although he would remain involved with WWE in a consulting capacity.

Prichard has enjoyed a lengthy career with the company, initially appearing on television as Brother Love and managing The Undertaker before becoming one of Vince McMahon’s most trusted executives. After a period as a producer for TNA Wrestling, Prichard returned to WWE in 2018 and became a major influence on the company’s creative direction, storylines, and television production.

Stephanie Vaquer reportedly out of action indefinitely

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has reportedly been ruled out of action indefinitely after missing this week’s Monday Night Raw. Vaquer had announced on Saturday that she was medically cleared following an ankle injury and was scheduled to face Becky Lynch on Raw. However, General Manager Adam Pearce later confirmed she couldn’t compete, replacing the match with a Women’s World Championship encounter between Lynch and Liv Morgan.

According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Vaquer’s latest absence is believed to be due to illness rather than a recurrence of her ankle injury. A separate report from False Finish suggests she could be sidelined indefinitely. Vaquer last competed at WWE live events in Hawaii on October 16 and 17, and no timetable for her return has been confirmed.

WWE Signs Former Sumo Champion To NXT Deal

WWE has reportedly signed former sumo champion and Colorado State defensive lineman Hidetora Hanada to its NXT developmental roster, according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. The 24-year-old Japanese athlete, who stands 6 ft 1 in and weighs 280lbs, previously visited WWE headquarters in Stamford in 2025 and participated in a tryout. Hanada won the Junior World Sumo Championships in 2018 and 2019 and competed at the 2022 World Games in Alabama before pursuing American football at Colorado State.

He also tried out for the NFL but was not selected. Hanada previously expressed an interest in professional wrestling and confirmed that he had signed a WWE NIL deal. His reported signing would see him transition into professional wrestling through WWE’s NXT developmental system at the Performance Center.
