Turki Alalshikh Pushes Crown Jewel Amid Increased Safety Fears
Saudi Arabian government official Turki Alalshikh has continued promoting WWE Crown Jewel on November 7 in Riyadh despite growing security concerns and criticism surrounding the event. Alalshikh shared a video advertising Roman Reigns defending the WWE Crown Jewel Championship against Sami Zayn at Riyadh Season Stadium. The promotion comes as the US government maintains a Level 3 travel advisory for Saudi Arabia, warning of potential drone and missile attacks, terrorism and escalating regional conflict.
The State Department recently ordered non-emergency government personnel and their families to leave the country, while Houthi forces have claimed further attacks on King Khalid International Airport. Coalition forces also reportedly intercepted drones and missiles targeting Riyadh and southern Saudi Arabia. Despite the warnings, PWInsider reports that WWE has begun setting up for Crown Jewel, indicating preparations are continuing as scheduled.
Ludwig Kaiser’s defense given access to medical records
WWE star Ludwig Kaiser’s ongoing misdemeanour battery case has seen another development, with his defence team granted access to redacted medical records believed to belong to alleged victim Richard Reap. The October 26 filing follows a judge’s recent decision to deny Kaiser’s motion to dismiss the case under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. The charge stems from an April altercation at an Orlando apartment complex, with Reap alleging Kaiser attacked him following a confrontation in an elevator.
Kaiser admits pushing Reap but maintains he acted in self-defence after Reap behaved aggressively and allegedly made a racist remark. His legal team has also obtained access to photographs of Reap’s alleged injuries and surveillance footage. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for December 17, with a potential trial in January 2027. Kaiser remains active in WWE and recently retained the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio at Heroes Inmortales.
AEW’s Dustin Rhodes Writing Second Book, Says ‘My Hands Were Tied’ In WWE
AEW star Dustin Rhodes has revealed that he is writing a second autobiography, promising a more detailed and personal account of his nearly 40-year wrestling career. Responding to a fan on X, Rhodes confirmed that he had already published one book but was working on a follow-up that would explore the highs and lows of his career in greater depth. He also appeared to criticise WWE’s involvement in his previous autobiography, claiming that his “hands were tied with the other company.” Rhodes suggested his new book would give him greater creative freedom to tell his story on his own terms, including his personal struggles, career setbacks, and eventual resurgence in professional wrestling.
