Morning Daily News Update – 3rd Oct 2026

Good Morning Everyone

Just before we get to the Morning Daily News Update, I thought I best address the disgruntlement from last weekend where some AEW fans took umbrage to me going with a TNA story as the lead during an AEW pay per view weekend. When I write these updates it’s normally around 8-9AM UK time, so what stories I lead with are really at the mercy of what the news site I check (F4W in most cases) have for me. That morning the most interesting story available to me was the one about TNA struggling to sell tickets for their big pay per view event of the season, so that’s the one I went with.

From memory, there wasn’t really anything AEW related that made sense to go with. It wasn’t an intentional knock on AEW or an attempt to demean the promotion on a big weekend for it, but rather just a consequence of circumstance. It was Saturday morning for me but I was essentially looking at Friday night stories for F4W due to the time difference, and it must have just been the quiet before the storm in regards to the pay per view the next day.

I like to think I personally always give AEW it’s due and generally quite enjoy the product whenever I watch it, so if any AEW fans on here are still in doubt, hopefully this has assuaged their concerns. I should also make a point that I don’t work for ITR or anything like that. I’m a volunteer who does this because I was asked. I’m not getting a cheque nor am I moderator around here. I’m just someone who got asked to help out and agreed to do so.

Anyway, let’s take a look at recent postings here to the BOD
