Kevin Owens Suffers Apparent Knee Injury At WWE Live Event
Kevin Owens appeared to suffer a potential knee injury during a WWE live event in North Charleston, South Carolina, on August 30. Footage captured after his match showed Owens noticeably limping and being helped backstage. Sports journalist Kevin Bilodeau, who recorded the footage, described it as an “apparent knee injury”. WWE has not officially commented on Owens’ condition or confirmed the nature or severity of any potential injury.
Mercedes Moné confirms injury sustained at AEW All In
Mercedes Moné suffered a broken nose during her AEW Women’s World Championship victory over Willow Nightingale at All In 2026. Moné confirmed at the post-show press conference that the injury occurred “right at the beginning” of the match and required stitches, with the new champion still bleeding during the media appearance. It is currently unclear whether the injury will keep her out of action, although she is scheduled to appear for a championship celebration on Wednesday’s Dynamite. Moné described winning the title at Wembley Stadium as “absolutely everything” and became the first woman to hold world championships in AEW, CMLL and WWE.
Canadian wrestling legend Paul LeDuc has died at the age of 89. LeDuc began his wrestling career in 1957 and later spent two years in Mexico developing his skills before forming a successful tag team with Michel Pigeon, who became known as Jos LeDuc. The pair debuted together for Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling in 1968 and feuded with Maurice “Mad Dog” and Paul “The Butcher” Vachon. LeDuc was also known for getting married inside the ring at the Montreal Forum in 1971. He retired from wrestling in 1978 before working for Quebecor and later became involved with Jacques Rougeau Jr.’s International Wrestling 2000 promotion.
