WWE’s Cody Rhodes Says Neck Tattoo Is ‘Greatest Regret’ Of His Life
Cody Rhodes has admitted that his prominent “American Nightmare” neck tattoo is the “greatest regret” of his life, although he acknowledged that it has also had some benefits. Speaking on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Rhodes described his relationship with the tattoo as “complicated” and admitted it ended up much larger than he originally wanted. Despite his regrets, Rhodes has no intention of having it removed or covered up, saying he plans to “rock this until the end”. He also joked that his late father, Dusty Rhodes, would have been furious with the decision, believing he had “ruined” himself by getting such a large tattoo.
‘Doctor of Style’ Slick reportedly recovering after open-heart surgery
Former WWE manager Slick is reportedly recovering in intensive care after suffering a heart attack and undergoing open-heart surgery. Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers shared the update on social media, citing information passed along by Andrew Anderson after Mary Alice Gray, the wife of One Man Gang, spoke directly with Slick. The 68-year-old, whose real name is Kenneth Johnson, reportedly reached the hospital in time and successfully underwent surgery. Although his recovery is said to be progressing slowly, he is currently “on the mend”. The news came on the same day wrestling fans were marking the anniversary of the longtime manager’s WWF debut.
JBL and Ron Simmons have reunited for a rare joint interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, with the episode scheduled for release on Thursday. The conversation lasts more than an hour and is believed to be the longest interview the longtime friends and APA partners have ever given together. While JBL and Simmons have previously appeared alongside each other at conventions and on WWE programming, a long-form sit-down featuring both men answering questions together is extremely rare, particularly given Simmons’ limited interview appearances. The discussion is expected to cover their extensive careers, including Simmons’ historic WCW World Championship victory, their run together as the APA and JBL’s subsequent WWE Championship reign.
