Roman Reigns Was Not Originally Planned To Win This Year’s WWE Royal Rumble

WWE originally planned for Bron Breakker to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble before changing course to Roman Reigns, according to the latest season of WWE Unreal on Netflix. The documentary reveals the company altered its plans over concerns that crowning Breakker too soon could trigger a fan backlash similar to the reaction Reigns received after winning the 2015 Royal Rumble. The change also came after Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury, forcing WWE to overhaul its WrestleMania 42 plans. Breakker instead had a brief Rumble appearance, entering at No. 2 before being attacked by a masked assailant and eliminated by Oba Femi, an angle that has since led to his feud with the returning Rollins.

Logan Paul wanted to fight Conor McGregor after UFC 329

Logan Paul has revealed he pitched a match against Conor McGregor to WWE following the former UFC champion’s injury defeat at UFC 329. Speaking on ImPaulsive, Paul said he contacted his “bosses” after McGregor lost to Max Holloway, suggesting WWE capitalise on the situation with a bout between the two, joking that McGregor is now “a big WWE star.” Paul added that he believes McGregor’s fighting career may be over, while both men are currently sidelined through injury, with Paul also recovering from a torn triceps.

Brie Bella Shares Update On Bryan Danielson’s Wrestling Future

Brie Bella has indicated that Bryan Danielson is content in retirement and is not currently preparing for another in-ring return. Speaking to Sal Licata, Bella said Danielson has been fully supportive of her WWE comeback, even coaching her while taking on more responsibilities at home with their family. Danielson has not wrestled regularly since losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024, with his only match since being an eight-second dark match victory over Max Caster in June 2025.
