WWE Main Event Review – 6.25.26

By Kat Bourne on 25 June 2026

Good evening, Doomsters! Last week, I jumped into Main Event and a lot of you enjoyed it. Let’s look at this week’s easy thirty minutes of action!

The last week in WWE: Main Event / SmackDown / Lucha Libre AAA / Raw / NXT / Evolve Succession III

As Raw and SmackDown were Monday and Tuesday this week, both shows and all three of tonight’s matches were at the 02 Arena in London, England. Vic Joseph and Blake Howard are on commentary, Mark Nash is our ring announcer for the opener and Alicia Taylor for the following two matches.

Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) vs Candice LeRae

These two have never had a singles match together before, only sharing the ring once in this year’s Royal Rumble. This is Jacy’s first Main Event appearance since moving up to the main roster though she does has a Main Event win over Brinley Reece in June 2024. Would you believe this is only Candice’s third match in 2026? She last competed on SmackDown in February. She’s been a regular for Main Event over the years, last appearing in a loss to Zelina Vega in September. I don’t like her chances her when comparing her spot on the card compared to Jacy right now.

Jacy yells at Candice in the corner, Candice shoves her away. Jacy runs into a set of knees and a dropkick and powders out to her Fatal friends, giving LeRae a chance to take her down with a baseball slide. Henley and Reid pull her off the apron and Jacy knees her to the floor. Jacy gets a two count on a neck breaker and Lainey cheap shots Candice again. Candice gets a bit of a comeback with some kicks and a senton, diving onto Henley and Reid. Back in the ring, Candice turns right around into a Rolling Encore and a defeat.

Jacy Jayne pins Candice LeRae. Nothing amazing, mostly by the numbers. A good win to keep Jacy warmed up.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca vs Nattie

The Women’s I-C Title has never been defended on Main Event and that does not change today. Sol has only competed on Main Event twice before with a win over Tatum Paxley and a loss against Alba Fyre in 2024. This is Nattie’s first Main Event match of 2026, but she has to be in the front runners of people with Main Event matches in history alongside Miz just from being the two people who have been active on the roster since Main Event’s start. Her first match on Main Event was way back on the series’ 25th episode, teaming with Layla to defeat Aksana and Alicia Fox in 2013.

Nattie attacks to start the match and Sol spins Nattie out, dropping a kick to Nattie’s head and splashing her in the corner. Sol tries for an early Sol Snatcher and the Low Key Legend dodges out of the ring to the boos of the crowd. Sol dropkicks her into the announce table and they return to the ring, Nattie slugging her. Nattie works over Sol and hooks on the surfboard, quite the thing to hook on Sol Ruca of all people. Sol powers out of it, rolling over and dropkicking Nattie for a near fall. Nattie smacks Sol down with the Anvil Line and a series of dropkicks, commentary noting how much time she’s taking to gloat to the crowd. Sol uses this time to sweep the leg. Sol tries for another Sol Snatcher, Nattie ducks under and tries for a Sharpshooter. Sol sweeps that into a near fall and the women trade pin attempts. Nattie hits a clean side Russian sweep on the champ but Sol boots her, this time landing a beautiful Sol Snatcher for the pin.

Sol Ruca pins Nattie. This was a good one! Nattie is as good as anyone for the Raw newcomer to battle. Both women looked good here. Take a few minutes and watch this one.

Nattie offers a handshake after the match and Sol accepts.

Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo Americano) vs The LWO (Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde)

After the big Americano mask vs mask match, our only two Los Americanos appearances have been on Main Event. I don’t love that for them. These two teams battled right here on Main Event back on the June 4th episode with the Americanos winning in five minutes. Blake and Vic remind us that the Street Profits won the tag titles on Monday and that perhaps one of these two teams could challenge them. Yes, I like the idea of the tag teams of Raw competing for the tag titles. I’m not so sure that is a thing that will happen, but it is nice to have hopes.

The Americanos wishbone Wilde into the ring post. Del Toro tries to fly but is kicked down and rana-ed to the mat by Rayo. Bravo comes in for a hot tag and is able to grab onto both opponents, having Wilde in a fireman’s carry while swinging Del Toro with the big swing. Impressive! Del Toro hits a flying dropkick on Bravo hits a big splash, turning 45 degrees in air to adjust, on Wilde and gets the pin.

Bravo Americano pins Joaquin Wilde, Los Americanos defeat the LWO. This was a showcase for the Americanos more than anything else and it was a fun three or four minutes of action. The swing/fireman’s carry at the same time was something cool.

The easiest half hour of wrestling on television again this week. Sol and Nattie had a heated little match and the Americanos were fun. You could do worse things with your half hour than skimming through this show.

I’ll see you again next Thursday for Main Event. With Raw airing live and SmackDown being taped immediately after, I feel like we might be in for an even more abbreviated episode next week.
