A New nWo Almost Happened In WWE
Former WWE writer Chris Dunn has claimed WWE nearly revived the New World Order during the COVID-era ThunderDome shows in 2020 with a new lineup featuring Sheamus, Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Lars Sullivan. Dunn said the angle was close to happening before the legendary nWo member, who was meant to introduce the group, reportedly failed a COVID test after arriving in Orlando. Kevin Nash later questioned the story on X, saying he had never heard of the idea and insisting it did not involve him, Scott Hall, or Sean Waltman.
Vince McMahon, Triple H Set To Testify In WWE Shareholder Trial
Several high-profile figures connected to WWE and TKO Group Holdings, including Vince McMahon, Paul Levesque and Nick Khan, are expected to testify in the WWE shareholder lawsuit trial beginning June 8 in Delaware. According to POST Wrestling’s Brandon Thurston, the lawsuit centres on claims that WWE’s merger with UFC to create TKO was structured to keep McMahon in power and to prevent shareholders from receiving the maximum possible sale value.
Additional witnesses reportedly include Ari Emanuel, Mark Shapiro, Stephanie McMahon and several former WWE board members and executives. The report noted that some testimony may be delivered live. In contrast, others could appear via video or recorded depositions, although the case could still be settled before or during the trial.
Brock Lesnar Making Rare Public Appearance At Canadian Hardware Store
Brock Lesnar is set to make a rare public appearance in Saskatchewan, Canada, this week ahead of WWE Clash in Italy. Emerald Park Home Hardware announced that Lesnar will appear on Thursday, May 28, from 4-6 p.m. for a photo and autograph session as part of the store’s 10th anniversary celebration. The event will also feature complimentary pulled pork sandwiches and a giveaway for a Pit Boss smoker. Lesnar currently lives on a farm near Maryfield, Saskatchewan, with his family after relocating there to avoid the spotlight. The appearance comes just days before his Clash in Italy rematch against Oba Femi, who defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 in what initially appeared to be Lesnar’s retirement match.
Carlito Reveals His Pro Wrestling Retirement Plans
Carlito says he is targeting roughly five more years in wrestling before retirement, revealing during an interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet that his recent WWE run significantly helped prepare his financial exit plan. Carlito explained that while he still feels he has something left in the tank, his focus has shifted toward setting himself up for life after wrestling. The former WWE star said his ideal retirement would involve quietly disappearing from the spotlight and potentially living near a beach. He also noted that he has adjusted his in-ring style to focus more on entertaining crowds while preserving his body for the long-term goal.
