Evening Daily News Update: April 10, 2026

Good evening, doomers! TGIF and welcome to the Evening Daily News Update! We’ve got WWE Friday Night Smackdown and OH BOY, what is the big surprise that Pat McAfee has for us? Maybe a secret alliance with Vince Russo? The NBA regular season is almost over, and nothing screams Fan Appreciation like the Nets and Pacers combining for 20 players inactive and running out fringe-level G-Leaguers. Plenty of MLB action as well, where wins and losses sometimes matter and sometimes don’t, depending on the level of butt-hurt we’re feeling over our team’s success (or lack thereof).

Catch up on TNA Impact with Scott H, Alex’s 5 Star Book Reviews is at Part VI for Akira Hokuto, Mike Reviews the WWF’s trip to the LA Sports Arena on August 13th, 1988 (ft. Savage vs. Andre and The Blue ANGEL), and Logan’s World Was Watching the December 11th, 1994 episode of the Action Zone.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Preview:

We’re just a little more than a week away from WrestleMania, and… I don’t know, Smackdown’s side of things leaves a bit to be desired. ROYCE KEYS FINALLY DEBUTS (Steph’s recording of “What’s Your Story?” finally finished up), Pat McAfee has a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT, and we’ll see all the big players mingle with nothing else of note advertised.

YouTube Spotlight: WrestleMania XI Fan Festival Footage Found!
Jump in the time machine and head back to 1995 with this rare footage from the WWE Fan Festival held the weekend of WrestleMania XI and featuring Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Shawn Michaels, Diesel and more New Generation Superstars. I swear, at least half the Superstars in this video didn’t work Mania XI, and then another chunk were used, but not in an official match. Looking over the roster… I’m not surprised, it’s a 7-match card and one match has Lawrence Taylor in one-v-one action.
