Top WWE Star Will Retire If He Loses At The Royal Rumble

AJ Styles has agreed to put his career on the line against Gunther at the Royal Rumble following a heated exchange on Raw in Belfast. Gunther accepted Styles’ rematch challenge only after demanding the career-threatening stipulation, telling Styles to decide if it was a “hill worth dying on.” Later in the show, Styles confirmed the match after consulting his wife, saying her advice was to “kick Gunther’s ass.”

Updated list of WWE Royal Rumble 2026 entrants

WWE has announced the first entrants for the 2026 Royal Rumble, with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, and Asuka confirmed for the women’s match. On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes is joined by Gunther, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee and Penta.

WWE SmackDown moving networks for two weeks in February

WWE SmackDown will temporarily move from USA Network to Syfy on February 13 and February 20 due to coverage of the Winter Olympics. The episodes will remain three hours long and air in SmackDown’s usual time slot, with international viewers still able to watch live on Netflix. SmackDown returns to USA Network on February 27 ahead of Elimination Chamber.

Report: WWE Interested In Signing Sought-After NJPW Star

WWE is reportedly showing interest in NJPW standout Gabe Kidd, according to Dave Meltzer, with the former IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion also drawing attention from multiple promotions. Kidd has appeared regularly for AEW over the past two years but remains focused on NJPW, where the company is working to retain him and the rest of the War Dogs. Kidd is set to face Andrade El Idolo at The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11 in a number one contender’s match for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
