Former tag team champions reportedly departing TNA Wrestling

The IInspiration are expected to leave TNA Wrestling after dropping the Knockouts Tag Team titles on the debut TNA Impact episode on AMC. Fightful Select reported that Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay finished up this week after working on short-term deals and choosing not to re-sign despite interest from both sides.

Omos Set For AAA’s Premiere On FOX In Latin America

Omos has been announced for AAA’s upcoming premiere show on FOX Latin America on January 17. The giant recently appeared for AAA at December’s Guerra de Titanes, where he attacked Dragon Lee and aligned with El Hijo del Vikingo and Dorian Roldán. Omos has yet to return to WWE television.

WWE NXT’s Zaria To Challenge Lei Ying Lee For Knockouts Title At TNA Genesis

TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee issued an open challenge on the AMC premiere of TNA Impact after Dani Luna was pulled from their planned Genesis title match due to visa issues. The challenge was answered by WWE NXT’s Zaria and Sol Ruca, with Ruca declaring the bout an “incredible opportunity” before nominating Zaria to accept. Zaria signed the contract to make the match official, as Lee prepares for her first defence since winning the title at NXT Gold Rush.

Jim Ross Questions Why WWE Needs Both Raw And SmackDown World Titles

Jim Ross says he is not sold on WWE having two men’s world champions, questioning whether the structure is necessary. Speaking on Grilling JR, the Hall of Famer said the dual title approach feels like it exists “just to tease a few guys” and does not work for him personally. While he acknowledged the brand split and two-night WrestleMania format offer a practical argument, Ross still believes one world champion would be enough.
