Swerve when I Cry

It's been what, 4 years since WWE released Swerve, and he is still bitching about it. It seems like it was the best thing to ever happen to him, so not sure why he is still so butt hurt about it. Swerve is a star in AEW, he was never going to get there in WWE. He should be thanking WWE, he parlayed that release into a getting way overpaid by Tony. And I'm sorry Swerve, but Vince was right to cut you. He was a tag team guy at best, and i think he really struggled to connect with the WWE audience. Hit Row was really the only success he had there, but i think he was quickly overshadowed by Top Dolla, which is why he fired when Top Dolla got too much heat on them.
Swerve needed that kick in the ass, and looks like he used that motivation correctly to get where he is now. But let's not act like he wasn't pretty much a low mid card talent for his first 1 or so in AEW, so I don't get this notion that wwe dropped the ball with him. The dude had to drink blood and use a stapler gun to get over. I think Swerve is where he needs to be, but clearly the poor guy still hasn't gotten over WWE not wanting him. Now sure if you believe him, WWE has checked in on his status, which was smart of them, and i def think they would sign him if he wanted it. But Swerve should thank wwe again for that, cause it prob made Tony give him a better offer.
The ironic part of all this is he went on DJ Vlad's podcast of all places to air these tears, which is funny because in the black community Vlad is despised. Which is crazy that Swerve used that platform to criticize wwe use of black talent. Funny, I dont remember Swerve sticking up for Big Swole when Tony and his bots attacked her for giving her honest feedback on the lack representation of people of color in AEW. Swerve has also caught a ton of heat for the way he talked about black women in the past, so alot of this is just a bad look on him. He has supposedly an 8 figure deal from AEW, what is there to he upset about.
“Swerve should thank WWE for firing him” is certainly a wild take on the situation.
