TNA Impact Review – October 29, 2026

By Scott Herrin on 29 October 2026

Greetings, everybody, and welcome to another episode of TNA Impact. We are turning the corner and are in the second half of our tapings in Dothan, Alabama, which is the peanut capital of the world. So, you butter believe we have some excitement ahead. We’re just nutty about Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt at the announce desk and let us know who is winning and if anyone was a-salted. Is McKenzie Mitchell ready to let us know who is who in the ring? Shell, yeah. Destination X might be a couple of week away, but we’re here to spread some fun. So, sit back, relax, and it doesn’t matter if it’s creamy or crunchy, boiled or roasted, everyone is welcome for some Total Nonstop Analysis. Shall we? We shall.

Side Note, Part one: I will always put over the writers who contribute this blog and will do so now. They put a lot of effort into giving people content and reviews in case someone missed it or just wanted a fresh read. They are incredible people and deserve the reads and feedback in the comments. We appreciate the feedback. And now….our feature presentation.)

Previously on Impact: We get highlights of the two-out-of-three falls match last week as Jason Hotch rallied to take two straight from Mustafa Ali to retain the title. Leon Slater showed up to say that the world is theirs. We see part of the promo from Syx afterwards to let us know they are coming for the Hardys (although they just beat them for the title…but that ego is hungry and MUST BE FED.)

That singer is persistent. He is STILL ready for you.

We go right to action to our Knockouts TV Title

Knockouts TV Title Match: Jada Stone vs. M by Elegance (with the Heather by Elegance and Mr. Elegance in tow)

Stone got a decent pop as she headed out first. M was next with the other Brand members a few steps back. Interestingly, there is no color coordination with the Brand as M is dressed in all black and red whilst Heather is adorned in white.

Stone exploded from the onset with a dropkick to send M into the corner. Stone charges again but was backdropped to the apron. Stone landed on her feet and dropped M with a forearm. She followed it with a springboard hurincanrana btu a 619 attempt was blocked. M attempted her piledriver finisher but Stone reversed it to a roll up and double foot stomp. A standing moonsault got a two count. Stone attempted a big boot but M blocked it.

Meanwhile, Mr. E got on the apron. That proved to be disastrous as Stone backflipped out of the block and ducked M’s attempt at a big boot that dropped Mr. E to the floor. M dropkicked Stone through the ropes to the floor. M looked angry but Stone hit the ropes and dove through them to dive on M and drop her. She shook hands with the fans as Mr. E. still looked angry.

Stone and M got back in the ring and Stone tried for her finisher – the Spark Stunner (handspring back flip stunner off the ropes.) M caught her and dropped her backward to the floor. The By Elegance Brand posted on the floor but Mr. Elegance still was not having it. M got Stone back in the ring and started to establish dominance. A vertical suplex got a two count. M locked a Dragon Sleeper variation and cinched it.

A large “let’s go Jada” chant emerged. It worked as Stone escaped the hold and hit a jawbreaker on M and followed it with a series of forearms. However, a big boot from M stopped the rally. She posed and hit the turnbuckles for a Moonsault. But, it got nothing but canvas. Stone exploded again with a series of forearms and back elbows. Stone hit the ropes and hit a rope assisted hurincanrana (got most of it.) NOW , we get the 619 as Stone celebrated and climbed to the ropes for a split-legged moonsault. M recovered, though, and caught her. However, Stone still managed to hit a hurincanrana.

Stone hit the ropes but M met her with a superkick. Stone, however, would not go away and attempted to rally every chance. M hit a kick off the ropes but Stone evaded another crisscross. NOW, she hit (sloppily) hit a Spark Stunner (M had to stop to get herself in position.) M scooted outside the ring and to the floor to get solace from the other brand members. Stone, meanwhile, climbed to the top and hit a moonsault to the floor. However, M and Heather moved and Mr. Elegance to the brunt of it. Stone went after Heather and then hit a Spanish Fly off the ring steps on M.

Stone threw M into the ring for a two count but Heather interrupted the pin and got in the ring. Meanwhile, M recovered and asked Mr. E to give her the belt. Mr. Elegance yelled at her and said he quit and walked away. Meanwhile, Stone rolled up M but M reversed it. She got Stone into position and NOW we get the Piledriver for the win.

Post-Match: Hannifan went over what happened with Mr. Elegance as the final moments of the match were replayed. Heather helped M back up the rampway as Stone sold the loss.

We go backstage and Alisha Edwards and Order Four ask us if we want to know something. (well, at least Alisha does.) Cedric Alexander started and talked about how he got his rematch with Amazing Red for the X=Division Title one-on-one without anyone else in the match. Eddie Edwards hyped Alexander as being the best X-Division wrestler. Edwards said Alexander is single-handedly going to bring the title back to the System. That got a laugh from Bear Bronson and he and Eddie started their verbal sparring again about Edwards not being there for Alexander with the phrase “Single-handed.” Brian Myers tried to be the peacemaker. Alexander realtered he is the best X-Division wrestler and is bring the title back to the System. Everyone walked off shot except Bronson said Edwards is making a big mistake. He walked off screen and Eddie looked frustrated.

We get the rest of the card tonight and we find out how Agent Zero is doing after the dissolution of Order Four…after the break.

When we come back, we get some hype for the upcoming card in Calgary….Alberta, Canada and a pitch to donate to IAMALS.Com/Rebel. We go backstage with Daria Rae on the phone as a guy walks to her and into focus. It is a clean-shaven fellow. Rae asked who he is and said his name is “Brian.” We get the “Shut Up, I’m talking” catchphrase (but you asked him who he was.)

Rae suddenly realized who he is. He, purportedly, has been hanging around and emailing asking for a job for the last year-and-a-half. She said it was almost pathetic. Brian said he now has a job (which was deemed impossible by Rae since she didn’t hire him.) Oh no, he was hired by the TNA directors to make sure that he keeps an eye on her, especially since she just returned from suspension and is to report any physicality between her and the wrestlers on roster.

Rae compared it to a grown man babysitter to which Brian said he is more of an observer (hey…..) Rae wanted him to observe her calling the directors to get rid of him.

Agent Zero vs. BDE

Fun fact – Zero is from Jacksonville, FL (I’m from there but..hey….) Hannifan reiterated that this is Zero’s first match since Order Four’s dissolution and Tasha Steelz set him loos on the roster. BDE is next and livestreamed – as usual – his entrance. He posed in t3he ring and instantly leapt on Zero in the corner. Zero pushed him to the mat. BDE hit the ropes for a springboard cutter but Zero caught him. Zero got him on his shoulders but BDE escaped and hit a leaping armdrag off the ropes that sent Zero to the floor.

BDE gave his phone to the referee to film him diving between the ropes and dropping Zero on the floor. BDE threw him back into the ring. BDE attempted a springboard leap but Zoer met him with a headbutt to drop him. A huge clothesline had BDE do the 360 degree sell job. Zero mauled BDE on the ropes with a series of forearms and a huge vertical release suplex.

Zero gorilla pressed BDE and launched to the mat. Zero hit a huge legdrop off the ropes for a two count. Zero continued to beat on BDE. BDE tried to rally  and attempted another clip cutter but was blocked by Zero. Zero charged BDE but was met with a big boot. NOW, we get the Clip Cutter (springboard cutter) for a two count.  BDE charged Zero but was met with a big back elbow. Zero lifted BDE and hit the Chokebomb for the win.

Post-Match: Zero lifted BDE and hit another Chokebomb. Rich Swann hit the ring and he got hit with a Chokebomb. Security hit the ring and they were met with Chokebombs. Security started to get gun-shy about coming into the ring as Zero yelled at the camera.

We go backstage to Ricky Sosa.  He said at Bound for Glory he belonged in TNA. He showed he was an international generational talent. He wants to do something more so he is officially announcing that he will be part of the TNA World Cup at Destination X, representing Belgium. Fabian Aichner entered the shot and shook hands with Sosa. Aichner said he will be in the match and representing Italy. He said they had fought side-by-side in the past but at Destination Z, there is no alliances and no mercy. There can be only one “numero uno.” Sosa said he can call it whatever he likes but at the end of the match, the crowd will be saying “bang, bang/Sosa, Sosa.” With that they smiled and Sosa headed frame. Aichner smiled and we head to commercials. We do know the X-Division Match is next..after the break.

We get some hype for Destination-X and then go to a green lit room and Shotzi Blackheart. She asked have you ever so obsessed with something that you can’t stop thinking about it? You lose sleep and do things you would never do just to get a little closer. For the last year-and-a-half, she has been obsessed with the Knockouts Division. She would imagine what if she was there and about the different ways she could cause pain to everyone in the locker room. Now, they can find out if they are as tough as they think.

When she thinks about the Knockouts division, she thinks about the last woman standing, the Monster Ball matches and the Undead Realm and then….we go to black…

X-Division Match: Cedric Alexander (without the System in tow) vs. Amazing Red

The warning buzzer and Alisha Edwards telling us that we can’t beat the system herald Alexander to the ring, to a considerable amount of boos. He posed in the ring and taunted the fans. Hannifan said Alexander was non-committal about having the System join him at ringside. Red was next and Hannifan went over his resume in TNA. This is Red’s first match on Impact in 15 years. It is first defense of the X-Division title in 16 years.

Stalling to start with Alexander for the cheap heat. Alexander got being hi and took him down, taunting him on the mat. Aleander grabbed an arm lock and a side headlock. Alexander sent Red to the ropes but Red responded with a forearm that sent Alexander between the ropes and to the floor. Red hit the ropes but Alexander moved before Red could complete the leap. As Alexander headed around the ring, Red climbed the turnbuckles and leapt on Alexander with a Senton to Alexander on the floor.

Red chopped Alexander on the floor as we chop away at some ads. When we return, Red charged Alexander on the floor but Alexander got him on his shoulders and hit a Death Valley Driver for  a two count. Alexander locked a reversed bearhug on Red on the mat. Red fought out of the hold and two traded punches. Red slipped  Alexander punches, got riled and hit a hurincanrana off the ropes. Red continued the offense in the corner and then hit a tilt-a-whirl DDT off the ropes for a two count.

A loud “let’s go Red” chant emerged as Red continued his assault. However, Alexander blocked a Code Red and turned it into a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Alexander taunted Red but Red started another rally as the two traded chops and punches in the “yeah/boo” spot.  The two blocked each other’s kicks but Alexander got behind Red. Red turned into a roll up for at wo count and reversed another Michinoku Driver for  another two count rollup. Red retried it but Alexander hit a forearm shiver.

Alexander sent Red into the ropes and blocked another tilt-a-whirl DDT attempt. However, Alexander rolled through it but was met with an Amazing Red kick. Alexander staggered and Red climbed the turnbuckles and hit another DDT attempt. Alexander doubled over from the move and that gave Amazing Red a chance to NOW hit the Code Red for the win.

Post-Match: we get highlights of the final moments as Red posed in the corner as Rehwoldt asked what Bronson was going to say and how this would affect the dissipating chemistry of the System.

We head backstage to see Heather by Elegance getting ready in front of a mirror (from the reflection viewpoint) as Elayna Black came into frame. She asked where M is and Heather said she is at a shoot or something. Black said M is there without Heather. Black asked how long is Heather going to let her treat her as she does? Since she won the TV title is has been about her – her title, her brand, etc.… Heathe said she sees what Black is trying to do by starting problems.

Black said she is not trying to start problems – she still wants the Knockout’s TV title but something tells Black that Heather wants it, too. That is all she is going to say and walked off the shot. Heather looked flummoxed and frustrated.

Well, we have plenty to say about Injuries as it is time for the TNA Injury Report, brought to you by Stranglehold (the movie, not the Ted Nugent song.) BDE is suffering from some back injuries after the match earlier with Zero. Ali has a rib injury from his match last week with Hotch. He is not medically cleared for action. The TNA medical team is – not injured – but ready for the carnage for the “Slaughterhouse Syx” match later with the Hardys vs. Syx.

We get the second half of the card and we get a special look at Indi Hartwell after the break.

We come back to some more Destination X hype and then go to the special look at Hartwell. We see her writing in a journal – we did it, she wrote. She gets to live the life she wanted ever since she was a little kid (we see pictures of her with myriad belts as a younger wrestler.) At Bound For Glory, she became the girl she would dream in the ring. She was one of the women she watched as a kid that made her believe she could do it.

Now, she gets to carry that forward and help a little girl believe she could do it, too. It’s hard to explain how special this is. It won’t be easy; she’ll slip and fall and need reminding why she keeps doing this. At those moments, remember how she feels right now; one day, she will walk out of Bound for Glory as TNA Knockouts Champion.

Rewholdt and Hannifan talk about it until Rehwoldt is startled as Zoey Serrano and Shayna Baszler (Apex)  made their way to the table. Serrano superkicked a security person and Baszler grabbed Hannifan’s headset. She said Rae hired her to face Hartwell for the Knockouts World Title at Destination X. She said Hartwell may be having the feel good story right now but at Destination X, it becomes a nightmare and Baszler is the thing that haunts it. Serrano went after them but Baszler and the security head restrained her as they headed up the rampway.

We go back to Harley Hudson who is sitting in front of a projected images of The Righteous as Vincent walked behind her. He said her time is up and they wanted an answer. Dutch said they’re always looking for one more and she is the one. Vincent said the garden is always better when its full. Dutch said they are waiting. Next week, she is invited to stand next to them. Dutch said it is time for her to become one of the many. With love, Vincent and Dutch, dig what they’re saying. Hudson smiled and said she accepts.

We get the second half of the card and we get more of the remnants of Order Four next…after the break.

Amazing Red’s win is the BlueCHew Rock Solid moment of the night. We go backstage to Kiera Hogan and Steelz (Fire N’ Flava.) Hogan said Fire N’ Flava are back in the building and its about time. Allie was dead weight and needed to be dropped. With Steelz, there was definitely an upgrade. Steelz said now Blackheart wanted to get her nose in their business. When that happens, it’s a one-way ticket to Pettyville and permanent residency there. She will learn what happens when you get in their business. In fact, if they think they can swing it, then they should bring it.

With that we go back to ringside with Expressions. He said if Dothan is the “peanut capital of the world” (hey I just talked about that.,) then everyone must be allergic to peanuts because no one wants to live in Alabama (with exaggerated accent.) he wants the crowd to get on their feet to show respect to the best big man in the business – A J Francis.

A J Francis vs. John Skyler (with Mila Moore in tow)

Hannifan wished the Hardys would have handled Expressions, Rehwoldt said they didn’t. They talk about the angle development of Francis and Expressions insulting Moore and Skyler came to her rescue. Skyler is next, holding hands with Moore. Skyler got in the ring as Hannifan gave us some topical fun, saying Francis has a better chance of being head football coach as his alma mater (Univ. of Maryland) and that Pablo Torre should investigate Expressions Tottenham Hotspur.

Expressions tried to interfere from the onset attempting to grab Skyler’s leg as Francis charged him. Skyler evaded the interference and Francis went to the corner, where Skyler started to attack him. Francis hit the ropes but Skyler hit him with a dropkick off the ropes and then clotheslined him over them. Skyler dove over the ropes on Francis (cue “close enough” Maffew drop.) Expressions tried to sneak behind Skyler to hit him but Skyler stopped him. Francis went after Expressions, which gave Francis time to recover and shove Skyler into the ringpost.

Francis continued to attack and threw Skyler into the ring by the corner. Francis hit the Tennessee Whiskey running knee strike and then started to choke Skyler with leg on the ropes. Expressions continued to taunt the former Great Hand. With Francis distracting the referee, Expressions started to choke him on the floor until Moore warded him away. Expressions stated to jaw with Moore.

Skyler took the time to recover and started to attack Francis with a series of shots. Francis threw Skyler to the corner but met a charging Francis with a leaping knee strike and then a slingshot spear between the ropes for a two count.  Skyler measured Francis until Expressions got on the apron to interfere. Moore also got on the apron but Francis pushed Skyler backward and into Moore, drooping her to the floor. Expressions mocked checked on her and a purported ankle injury.

Skyler looked distraught but Francis took the opportunity to attack. However, Skyler hit a tornado DDT off the ropes but the referee was checking on Moore and missed the pin. A “Ref, you suck” chant emerged. Expressions returned to check on Moore. Skyler yelled at Expressions but Francis recovered whilst Skyler had his back to him. When Skyler returned, Francis hit the TFL (spear) and quickly followed it with a Down Payment (chokeslam) for the win.

Post Match: We get highlights of the finish. Skyler pained for Moore in the ring (shouldn’t he have gone to the floor?) We see Francis and Expressions celebrating in the ring.

However, we go backstage to see Edwards and the System checking on Alexander. Edwards tried to help but Bronson got in his face. Bronson said for once, he wants to know something – has Eddie Edwards gone soft? Because this (points at Alexander) is Edwards’ fault. Bronson challenged him to a match because he is sick of things. If Bronson wins, he calls the shots for the System. If Edwards’ win, it is business as usual and Bronson falls back in line. The two were separated as the Edwards’ headed off the shot but continued to jaw at each other.

We come back from break to see “Brian” adjusting his suit as Rae headed up a hallway to him. Brian asked how the board meeting went? Rae said it wasn’t good since he is staying. And since he was hired by the board, she cannot suspend, fire or hit him. So, since he will be like a puppy dog and follow her; she is going to show him how things really work around here. She asked how desperate he was since he was looking for a year-and-a-half for a job here. He said he would do what it took since he is a company man. She said that was interesting and walked off the shot.

Hannifan put a last name to Brian (Johnson) and we get Slater’s music and the World Champion emerged. He is still adorned in all black (hmm..) but asked Dothan is good. The crowd responded well and Slater he can’t lie that he is doing well since he is World Champion. Since BFG, life has been a dream. He doesn’t want to forget it since his life wasn’t so dreamy and more of a nightmare.

He went over his family history again and it would have been easy to do the wrong thing to get to the right place. But he didn’t since his mom and his sister always believed in him. They sacrificed a lot for him to get to training and for him to be here today (a loud “Leon” chant emerged.) He made a promise to himself that he would pay it off and make it worth it. Now, as the TNA World Champion, he is paying it off (a loud “you deserve it” chant emerged.)

He is no stranger to being a champion. He went over his resume in TNA and his X-Division title reigns, which set his blueprint. He said he took on all challengers, which brings him to Destination X and his opponent, Trey Miguel. He said the conversation last week may not have gone the way he wanted so he wanted to make amends. He asked Miguel to come to ringside.

Miguel obliged to a decent pop as Hannifan talked about the lack of title matches “Spider-Trey” as an individual. Miguel made it to ringside and said if Slater had something to say – than say it. Slater said he and Miguel have very similar paths. He has been through a lot in his life and in his career. Most importantly, they keep on fighting. But, that is where the similarities end. The difference is Miguel never held the title.

He wants Miguel to know that he is not taking him lightly; on the contrary, because he appreciates the challenge of Miguel and will bring everything he can – he might even shoot one of those webs at him. But, Slater does believe that the world can be his and there is no shame in losing In a match that people that will last forever. But, it can’t be his until Slater is done with it.

Miguel said he hears him but before the handshake, he wants Slater to hear him. Slater is right and they have been through a lot in their lives. But it is different when Miguel says it versus Slater. He started in TNA eight years ago when Slater was just 14. It’s been six years since he had a title shot at the TNA World Title. He doesn’t when or if he’ll have another opportunity. e haH

He went through his year saying that he was abandoned by the Rascalz and had to stand on his own two feet when there was no one left for him. Slater wanted him to tell him because he can see it in his eyes. Miguel said he respects Slater; he set out to do something and he did it. He got that moment with his family and people he loves. Miguel wants the same thing – his people deserve the same thing. Miguel said he will keep going until every fiber in his body is dry and after that, he will still keep going, scrawling and scratching until he sees the light at the end of the tunnel and becomes TNA World Heavyweight champion.

The crowd started to cheer for both as the two stared at each other. Slater headed up the rampway with his title as Miguel stood in the ring and we head to break.

We come back to the next match:

Ryan Nemeth vs. Elijah

Hannifan hyped the movie Stranglehold (an ad ran for it in the previous ad segment) as Nemeth (who is in the film) made his way to ringside. We get another ad break and when we return Elijah already had his entrance and we go right to the action.

Nemeth booted Elijah to the canvas and strangled him with his shirt hyping the movie. Ryan taunted the fans and gyrated. That gave Eliah time to recover and chopped away at Nemeth and a flying clothesline off the ropes. Elijah started to get the crowd riled and taunted Nemeth on the apron and then slammed face first into it. Elijah grabbed Ryan’s arm and then did the “Walk with Elias” rope walk into a leaping forearm smash (almost lost his balance but recovered just enough.)

However, Nemeth countered a back bodydrop attempt with a kick off the ropes and the Rude Awakening standing neckbreaker. Nemeth mauled Elijah on the mat and choked him on the ropes. Nemeth continued to put the boots on hi and climbed the top rope and wanted to strangle Elijah with his “Stranglehold” shirt on the turnbuckles. However, Elijah reversed it and slammed Nemeth to the mat. Now, it was Elijah’s turn to choke Nemeth with the shirt.

Ryan, though, met a charging Elijah with a boot in the corner. Ryan climbed the turnbuckles and taunted Elijah. This gave Elijah time to recover and hit a leaping knee strike. He grabbed Nemeth and hit the Highwayman’s Farewell (tombstone piledriver) for the win.

Post-Match: Nic Nemeth hit the ring and attacked Eliah in the corner. He booted Elijah out of the ring and started to check on his brother. He helped him to his feet but Eliah got back in the ring with his guitar. HE measured the Nemeths but Nic avoided the shot but Ryan received the brunt of the “El Kabong” shot. Ryan went to the floor as Elijah taunted the Nemeths as Nic tended to his brother again.

We go backstage to Frankie Kazarian, who started to hype his three-peat as the “Call Your Shot” Gauntlet Challenge until Ali burst into the shot. Ali apologized and said he has the utmost respect for Kazarian (“apparently not” Kazarian retorted.) Ali asked Kazarian if he can see what everyone sees a mile away – Avery Styles will stab Kazarian in the back. Kazarian started to chuckle but Ali continued. All the young talent is trying to use veterans like Kazarian and Ali to get to the top.

Kazarian said they are not the same. Ali said it will and look at Order Four, for example. He took all those “ungrateful Swine” and put them on his back and what they did do? Stab him in the back and Styles will do the same. He is holding him by the hand but one day – in that very hand – there will be a knife in it. Kazarian said all the baggage Ali is carrying needs to be checked elsewhere and get out of his face.

The Slaughterhouse is match is the main event is next and it is…after the break.

We come back to some blues match and a tour of the backrooms and a boiler room. We see the Hardys verrrrrrryyyy slowly descend a staircase as a bluesly-alt rock music played. We get closeups of the Hardys looking around before Matt calls out SyX and tells them they’re here. They look around but Matt points to Sam Shaw standing in the distance in front of them. He stands there and just stares at them.

Joseph Sawyer attempted to jump the team from the side but his grunting alerted the Hardys and they avoid the axe shot (an actual axe.) The Hardys start to beat on Sawyer as Shaw joined the fracas. Sawyer and Matt paired whilst Shaw and Jeff battled. Shaw had a chain wrapped around his fist and started to beat Jeff and rake his eyes with the chain. He started to choke Jeff with the chain. He stated to put the boots to him and then ran him into a ladder on the wall (taunting Jeff along the way.) Shaw attacked Jeff with the ladder choking him between the hinge and the legs.

Shaw ran Jeff into some stairs before Jeff started to rally and attacked Shaw with the ladder. Jeff climbed the stairs and attempted to slide down the bannister to attack Shaw but Shaw met him a punch and resumed his assault of Jeff, throwing into an electrical locker. Shaw told Jeff to be there and will be back.

Meanwhile, Matt was having slightly better luck with Sawyer and a shovel. He shoved the shovel handle into the abdomen of Sawyer. However, Sawyer rallied with a trashcan shot to the head of Matt. Matt staggered around the backroom and Sawyer continued to attack. Matt recovered and the two started to brawl down a small hallway. Sawyer eventually got the upper hand on a table and started to strangle Matt on it. Matt responded with a cooking sheet (really? That???)
Matt continued to beat on Sawyer in the same hallway. Matt rammed a ladder into Sawyer’s abdomen. Swayer and Matt started to trade punches.

Eventually, Matt tried to subdue Sawyer with a hold until Shaw changed the odds. Shaw slammed Matt into a garage door and the two took turns beating on Matt leaving him in an abandoned room and slammed the door shut and put a table in front of the table to prevent escape.

They went after Jeff but Jeff was standing above them on a beam and leapt on SyX. He started to beat on both members. Eventually they ended where they stated. Jeff and Sawyer continued to brawl until Shaw walloped Jeff with another trash can. They incapacitated Jeff and put the trash can over him. The two stared for a moment and Shaw took off his shirt. They both grabbed axes as a slow, haunting version of “Amazing Grace” was sung. They measured their shots and hit the trashcans with the axe blade side. They stopped and looked at what they did. Shaw started to smile and they wedged the axe blade from the can. The trash can and Hardy slumped slowly to the floor. Shaw and Sawyer walked away and we roll credits.

Impactful Discourse

One: I expected an overblown production but even I thought that was way too much on the SyX vs. Hardys match. That was terrible. There is gratuitous and then there is that. The Hardys looked old – really old. I have to use a bathysphere to find something positive about that segment.

Two: Okay, I will say the young lady singing “Amazing Grace” had a nice voice. If that is your takeaway on the main angle. It’s not good.

Three: The rest was a mixed bag of mostly good table setting moments. I was very surprised to see Miguel deliver as good a promo as he did. That was fantastic, well done and very natural its delivery. Slater is always good and curious if they start to creep him even more into becoming a heel. The subtly in some of his comments could be construed as heel and that would be an interesting choice.

Four: I don’t know what this means, but three of the most established factions in TNA are gone/teetering. Of all the ways to see the By Elegance Brand splinter, I did not expect it to be Mr. Elegance first. Heather is bound to leave incredibly soon with Black being a voice of reason (although not pure altruism since she is bucking for a title shot.)

Five: Zero looked as good as one can as a monster heel in his debut as we see the Order Four’s aftermath. The Choke Bomb is an okay, simple finisher (I still think the East River Crossing into the End of Days would be a better finisher.)

Six: Skyler looked good in the ring, absolutely lost at everything else. He had some good promos recently but his nonverbals an mannerisms really betray and undermine what he is trying to accomplish. He was absolutely feckless in his effort to help Moore. He played a decent David to Francis’ Goliath. Francis will always deliver and I am rapidly becoming a fan of Expressions as he takes over the lead heel manager from the Personal Concierge (who is ???)

Seven: I am not a huge fan of Blackheart but curious how she and Allie work together. Fire and Flava gives everyone something to do and Steelz and Hogan have a name that is recognizable in TNA. Depth is always welcome, so let’s see how/if Blackheart has improved.

Eight: The System disbanding seems like it has been happening forever but we are rapidly heading there. It’s a faction that really time has come to disband (nearly three years seems like the right time to go.)

Nine: Again, having read spoilers, I am curious how they handle the situation with the Righteous. Hudson did a great job as someone who looked broken to the point of healthiness. I got a Florence Pugh in “MidSommar” from her as she smiled at the end. If there is another person who wants to join, I am interested she (I mean, they) would fit.

10: I had to do a crash course on Brian Johnson; but I am curious how he fits with the Marella vs. Rae storyline. Rae also needs a new catchphrase. Everything else about her is okay, she is doing a slow thaw to respectability; but she really needs a new catchphrase.

11: I would be excited for Baszler vs. Hartwell but Apex already has the tag titles and don’t see the threat Hartwell must endure in holding the title. Baszler is another heel that sounds totally natural in the ring.

12: All the credit to Amazing Red and his match against Alexander. For all his age, he still looked smooth in the ring.

13: I guess the price of dropping a trophy is facing Eliah.

Lastly: I guess the concepts of “Brian” being “an observer” were just coincidence, right?

Fight the Good Fight…and vote (if you haven’t already.)
