Shawn Michaels Set To Take Over Bruce Prichard’s Role In WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is reportedly set to replace Bruce Prichard as WWE Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent following WrestleMania 43 in 2027. According to PWInsider, WWE already has a succession plan in place, with Michaels expected to assume Prichard’s responsibilities when he retires from his full-time position. Prichard is reportedly planning to step down after WrestleMania 43 but will remain available to WWE in a consulting capacity.

Michaels, who has served as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent & Development and overseen NXT since 2021, would receive a significant promotion under the proposed arrangement. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer is expected to begin preparing for the transition over the coming months, although WWE has not officially confirmed the reported changes.

WWE reportedly interested in AEW wrestler’s availability

AEW and ROH wrestler Dralistico could be heading to WWE when his current contract expires in December 2026. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is expected to express interest in signing the Mexican wrestler once he becomes a free agent, believing he could be a valuable addition to both WWE’s main roster and AAA. Dralistico previously fuelled speculation about his future by sharing an AI-generated image of himself in a jail cell alongside the caption “Maybe not for long?”

His brother, Dragon Lee, currently competes in WWE, potentially opening the door for a family reunion. Dralistico has not wrestled since the June 6 episode of AEW Collision, when he competed in a Trios Championship match against The Conglomeration. No agreement with WWE has been reported.

Dave Meltzer Reveals Reason Behind WWE Crown Jewel Venue Change In Riyadh

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is reportedly being relocated to Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, amid ongoing security concerns in the region. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the November 7 premium live event was originally scheduled for the temporary outdoor Riyadh Season Stadium but is now expected to take place inside the 30,000-capacity Kingdom Arena.

Meltzer explained that the decision was reportedly made because an indoor venue is considered safer than an outdoor stadium amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Riyadh Season previously confirmed the venue change and announced full refunds for existing ticket holders, although the new location has not yet been officially confirmed. WWE has previously hosted events at Kingdom Arena, including Night of Champions in 2025 and 2026. Crown Jewel currently has four confirmed matches, including three championship-related contests.
