I was bored the other day and decided to look up some Shooting Star Presses on youtube. Caught Mero's "Marvelocity". I feel like he was always a very underated guy. He was doing alot of the "Heavyweights doing Cruiserweight" stuff thats normal now. Seemed like he should of been a bigger deal whether in WCW or WWE. Actually if I remember correctly, didn't Vince initially have big

plans for him when he signed him?

Yeah, Vince signed him to a very lucrative guaranteed contract, one of the first of its kind, in order to steal him away from WCW. He had been trying to get him for a few years before that even. However, Mero ended up getting sabotaged by the success of his own wife, who was a newer and shinier plaything for Vince, as well as blowing out his knee in 1997 and suddenly becoming about 50% of the worker he was before. He definitely should have been a lot bigger of a deal than he ended up being, unfortunately.
