Non English Announcers

I suppose this may not be a question you can answer yourself, but I’m hoping maybe some of the BOD’s international readers can chime in.

Something I’ve wondered ever since the mid 90s, when the Spanish announce table became a fixture at ringside, and right up to today where we check in with commentary teams in a dozen languages at every PPV. How GOOD are those announcers? I’d imagine they don’t have to deal with Vince squawking in their ears every minute, but are guys like Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich actually considered a quality announce team? Who would their American counterparts be?

​Hell yeah Hugo Savinovich is a quality announcer. He was the main guy for WWC in Puerto Rico, if I’m remembering correctly, until Vince raided him. As for the other languages, I have no idea. ​
