NXT Takeover – Live Notes

My kids and I were at Takeover and it was awesome!!!!! The crowd was insanely hot for almost the entire night. A few interesting notes (they may already be in the threads, but I am so not going to wade through 1,000+ posts to find out)
During the Roode match, the apron came off on the side opposite the hard camera (don’t know why the sign boards weren’t used). A huge “fix the apron” chant broke out and it looked like it really threw Dillinger and Roode off for a bit. Two workers slid under the ring on the timekeepers side and fixed it from under the ring. It was pretty funny to see it all happen live.
Dusty Classic was a MAJOR nacho break, as the upper section emptied out prior to the match.
Crowd was seriously into the tag match and I have never heard a sound like the one when DIY won the titles.
Refs Seemed really thrown by the crowd chanting TEN every time they started counting. During Nak and Joe, the ref counting them both out seemed to really not want to go to seven as the crowd OHHHHH’ed up to every number
Seemed to me like the crowd really never recovered from the tag match, as the title matches had less heat. Women’s ending came totally out of nowhere for the crowd and there was a LONG a period of silence after Joe won. However, he got a BIG cheer at the end as he stood at the top of the ramp. The rematch should be very interesting.
No way SS tops this one.
