Steamboat AKA The Dragon

> Reading the observer review and seriously what the F was up with "The Dragon". It was only 2 years since he left. I was 6 in 1988 and a monster Steamboat fan and at 9 when I saw "The Dragon" I was actually embarrassed. Like here’s a guy I used to love had my favorite match ever at that point (Savage @ WM 3), and now he’s literally dressed like a dragon breathing fake fire. I stopped watching wrestling btw after WrestleMania 7 all the way till Austin got big and this was a reason I stopped. I’ll never get it, but why couldn’t he "be Ricky Steamboat"???

Because Vince holds a grudge and wanted to own all the merchandise rights and character, if I had to guess. Steamboat was never going to progress past a certain point in that run and it showed.
