Hi, huge fan of yours and I have bought all of your books. I was watching an old house show and Tito Santana fought Koko B. Ware. Kokomo was playing heel for parts of the match and I was wondering why he never turned heel? Seemed to play it well. Thanks.

​Well, he was certainly a heel in Memphis and other parts of the South from time to time, and he was totally fine at it. That same babyface swagger can also be good heel arrogance. I think he was never turned in the WWF because Vince just wouldn’t see him as big enough for the babyfaces to sell for. But I agree, I think it would have been a fantastic idea to do a James Brown riff with him.​
