WM 9 alternate main events

We know WM 9 stunk, and I know you’ve said you would’ve had Bret/Savage at the main event. What about Perfect? The story writes itself. He came back at Survivor Series from a career threatening back injury, he could win the Rumble eliminating Flair, which sets up BOTH his Loser leaves Town match from Raw in February and his feud with the guy who put him on the shelf for title. They stole the show at KOTR, they could’ve had that match, Hart wins, Perfect raises his hand. Yokozuna squashes Savage at Mania to start on the road to his title match at KOTR…

​No, Bret wasn’t a draw at that point, and Perfect was DEFINITELY not a draw, so that would have been suicide on top of a Wrestlemania. Plus I don’t think people ever really bought Perfect at that level, myself included. He was a great IC champion, but World champion carrying the company two years after major back surgery? No dice.​
