Monday RAW Monday

Hi Scott,

Don’t recall you answering this before so hopefully it hasn’t been covered a hundred times: Why is RAW on Monday? I mean, why was it put on Monday to begin with? Sure the NFL wasn’t as gargantuan in ’93 as it is now, but Monday Night Football was actually a much bigger deal back then (MNF is typically the shittiest game of the week nowadays). Why would Vince willingly go against that? Was that the only slot USA would give him?

​Pretty much. It was basically an established tradition, and also TBS dominated the weekend all through the 80s with the Crockett shows, so it makes sense to have the various permutations of the WWF USA show (Prime Time, All American, etc) on Monday to get away from that. ​
