Crossover

> I felt like Backlash ended up being a nice easy watch, assisted by (sadly) not common stuff anymore like manageable show length & finishers being used properly.

> That said, it showed the extreme weak depth of the SD roster. When the draft happens, there was that slight hope that guys like Dolph or Bray could be elevated to higher status, which obviously isn’t happening.

> Since in story terms, Shane & Bryan are supposed to be doing different things for their show, what do you think about an extended storyline with NXT going against Smackdown? Not a full invasion thing, but more of a mutual relationship Bryan/Regal storyline (leading to tension later) where Bryan is feeling out the NXT roster or something & them organizing some cross-promotion matchups.
>
> It gets guys like Nakamura, Joe, Roode, Itami, and Aries some main roster exposure while allowing them to stay with the touring NXT brand. Smackdown gets more talented bodies & fresh matchups to fill the spaces during periods like this while guys like Cena & Orton are unavailable.

> If it keeps exclusively SD & NXT, then it gives Smackdown their own thing, comparable to the Cruiserweights being Raw specific… Thoughts?

Sure, and god knows they need depth on Smackdown. I’m sure Nakamura and Joe would love to make more money and would look like bigger stars back on NXT in the process.
