Mania 8 Question

At what point was it planned that Hogam would take a hiatus after Mania 8. I ask because if he and Flair were originally going to feud for the title, was there a plan for Flair winning or what?

​Hogan knew he was leaving months in advance, but Hogan-Flair was never the plan. It was always Hogan-Sid. Hogan and Flair did their feud for the title on house shows in the fall in 91 and it didn’t draw, so they had no intention of headlining Wrestlemania with that match. ​
