Marty Jannetty’s IC Title Reign in 1993

When Jannetty won the title on RAW in May’93, It was a really great moment. But why was his reign so short, I think he only held it for like 3 weeks. Also when Shawn won it back, it was on a house show, why do that there instead of on RAW or at King of the Ring, instead of doing Shawn vs Crush? Did the WWF have no faith in Marty?

​To say the least. He was in and out of rehab around that time and got arrested at one point. It was a pretty big embarrassment for the company, but I guess it shows what a great worker he was that they kept giving him chances after that. ​
