WWE’s internal favorite to win Money in the Bank reportedly revealed

Penta is reportedly considered the “heavy favourite” within WWE creative to win the 2026 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, Penta was not viewed as the likely winner around SummerSlam, but his recent World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns in Mexico City may have changed WWE’s thinking. The bout reportedly received a strong backstage reaction and generated record viewership, while there have also been discussions about a future Reigns-Penta rematch. Penta has already qualified for Money in the Bank alongside Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Bron Breakker, with two places still to be decided.

Kurt Angle Pulls Out Of UK Shows This Weekend Due To Health Issue, Dates Moved To February

Kurt Angle has withdrawn from this weekend’s Inside The Ropes live shows in London and Glasgow due to an unspecified health issue. Inside The Ropes confirmed that both appearances have been rescheduled, with London now taking place on February 1 and Glasgow on February 2. Angle apologised to fans and confirmed that tickets purchased for the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Inside The Ropes has not yet confirmed whether refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates.

MJF Tops PWI 500 as Fans Debate Surprising Rankings

MJF has been named the number one wrestler in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2026 PWI 500, climbing from 30th place in last year’s rankings. PWI bases the list on factors including in-ring achievements, championships, win-loss records, quality of competition, major feuds, prominence, technical ability and activity. Cody Rhodes finished second, followed by CM Punk, Mistico and Konosuke Takeshita. Adam Page, Yota Tsuji, Trick Williams, Oba Femi and GUNTHER completed the top ten.
