Flair/Dibiase angle

I was born in 82 and grew up a Hulkamaniac in NYC, so naturally I never heard about the Flair/Dibiase angle till much much later. This seems like such a perfect angle to get a guy over as a super babyface/super heel. Why don’t they just recycle these 30 year old angles?! No one watching will know. Is it simply that the writers aren’t wrestling fans?

​Yup. Even crazier is that WWE has this whole NETWORK dedicated to showing and celebrating this kind of stuff, and no one seems to pay attention to history and learn from it. But regardless, their writers are hired specifically because they’re not fans and in fact it’s considered a handicap to getting hired if you are a fan. ​
