Rock & Roll/Midnight Expresses

Did Vince ever try to go after either the Rock and Roll or Midnight Expresses during the late 80’s/early 90’s NWA talent raid? They were two of the most popular tag teams during that period. Or did he believe that the Rockers were enough to fit the pretty boy tag team model in the WWF?

​There was never any serious interest in the Rock N Roll Express, but he did actually have a deal with the Midnight Express around late 1986 and even started the hype machine, but it fell through at the last minute for various Dennis Condrey-related reasons, apparently. But yes, Cornette has talked in the past about how it was close to happening. ​
