The Dudley Boys in the WWF

In your Royal Rumble 2000 repost, you mentioned that the Dudley Boys’ match quality vaulted dramatically when they jumped from ECW to the WWF. How much of this was the Dudleys’ improving as wrestlers, how much was smarter booking of their matches, and how much was down to having Edge and Christian as opponents instead of, say, Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney?

​It was a different style with different agents, and the Dudleyz just happened to excel at WWF style even moreso than ECW’s random brawling style, I think. Plus as noted, they were suddenly in there with young and super-motivated guys like E&C and the Hardy Boyz who could actually do all the complex spots that Bubba was trying to get over. ​
