Scott,
I'm betting you didn't watch, but if you did, can you remember a less important major PPV(Rumble, Mania, Summerslam, Survivor Series) in recent history? I watched it all the way thru, and I already forgot what happened. It's easy to blame the 3rd hour of RAW stretching the writing team, but there was seriously nothing of importance that happened on this show. They obviously expected different reactions from the crowds on several matches, and I think it really hurt the show. The crowd didn't even seem into the main event for the most part. I know you've said it before, but Brock killing everybody and then threatening Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania would due HUGE money. It just kills me that they have so many guys on the main roster that people react to(Cena, Punk, Bryan, Jericho, Ziggler, Orton, Sheamus), that they can't put a decent PPV together.
Just terrible…
Well, I was doing family stuff so I only got to see the last two matches, but between them I'd call them a ***** match. As in the triple threat was about ** and the main event was ***. But yeah, the crowd reaction for the main event has got to be a cause for a concern, at least for HHH. I wasn't really into the match either, much like the crowd. Using diverticulitis as in-ring psychology is a pretty obscure way to go. Whatever happened to "kick him in the knee"?
I'd say last year's Survivor Series was far more forgettable, though.
