WWE Title Match Made Official For Wrestlepalooza On Raw

On last night’s episode of Raw, it was announced that Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship at Wrestlepalooza on Saturday.

It was confirmed last night that Rhodes will be putting the title on the line against Drew McIntyre on the upcoming pay-per-view, which will be WWE’s first PPV on the ESPN app. A match had been set up between Rhodes and McIntyre after Rhodes returned on SmackDown last week to attack McIntyre after his win against Randy Orton.

Rhodes was also announced to appear on the go-home SmackDown for Wrestlepalooza this Friday, but it is unknown what role he will play on the upcoming show.

When Was Cody Rhodes Last Seen In WWE?

Prior to his return on the September 12 episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was last seen in WWE on the August 8 episode of SmackDown, where he and John Cena defeated McIntyre and Logan Paul via DQ, and McIntyre laid out Rhodes following the match. Rhodes was given time off to be able to film his part in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
