WWE Announces Date Change For Money In The Bank 2026
By Craig Ballantyne on 22 October 2025
WWE has announced a change for Money In The Bank 2026.
After WrestleMania 42 was moved from New Orleans to Las Vegas, Triple H announced that The Big Easy would still get a PLE in 2026, with Money in the Bank heading to the city on August 29th. The event will be held in the Smoothie King Center and will mark the first time the city has hosted the PLE in its 16-year history.
However, WWE has now issued a press release noting that the event will be held on September 6th, a week later than originally planned. There was no explanation given for the move.
“WWE, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, has announced that Money in the Bank will now take place Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026 — one week later than originally announced — at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Money in the Bank features WWE’s biggest Superstars as they battle to earn a briefcase containing a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing anytime within the next year.”
Further ticket details will be announced in the coming months, but fans can register for “pre-sale opportunites” on WWE’s website now.

What Happened At WWE Money In The Bank 2025?
WWE Money in the Bank 2025 took place in Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome on June 7th and featured a heel John Cena teaming with Logan Paul to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. A returning Ron Killings cost Cena and Paul the match when he appeared from the crowd and attacked the 17-time World Champion with the title belt.
Elsewhere, Seth Rollins won the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match for the second time. He held onto the briefcase until SummerSlam, where he cashed in on CM Punk to capture the World Heavyweight Title.
On the women’s side, Naomi got the surprise win and also went on to cash in successfully, defeating IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley after making the main event of Evolution a Triple Threat match.
The card was rounded out with both the men’s and women’s Intercontinental Titles on the line. While Dominik Mysterio successfully defended his gold against Octagon Jr., Lyra Valkyria wasn’t able to overcome Becky Lynch, who won the championship for the first time.
