Will Ospreay Out Of AEW With Injury As Former Tag Champ Also Injured

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Will Ospreay is dealing with a legitimate injury, which is why he was written off TV at All In. Also, former AEW World Tag and World Trios Champion Colten Gunn is out with an injury.

Will Ospreay made his first appearance on AEW TV following All In on last night’s Dynamite and had an in-ring promo with Tony Schiavone, saying he has been struggling with a neck injury for about 10 months.

Ospreay said that he consulted a doctor who told him he had herniated his C2 and C6 discs. However, the herniated discs are treatable, and he is hopeful to be back in the ring for Forbidden Door in London in a month.

Who Else Is Joining Will Ospreay On The AEW Injury Bench?

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Colten Gunn picked up an injury during a four-way tag match on last Saturday’s Collision, but the news of his injury wasn’t confirmed until last night. His injury was mentioned on commentary and prevents The Gunns from competing in the newly announced eight-team Tag Team Eliminator Tournament.

The exact nature of the injury hasn’t been revealed, and there currently is no timetable for Colten’s return. It is believed that Colten has injured his knee, as he grabbed it after performing a jumping punch spot with Big Bill during his match last Saturday and wasn’t involved in the match after that point.
