Vince McMahon Involved In Car Accident

Vince McMahon was reportedly involved in a car accident last Thursday in Connecticut, but no one involved in the crash was injured.

TMZ reported that a “bad car accident” involving the former WWE chairman occurred at around 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, July 24, and apparently started due to McMahon’s Bentley colliding with the rear end of a BMW. A third car was also involved after debris from the initial crash flew into the other lane of the highway, striking a Ford Fusion.

The accident was so bad that all 3 cars had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks; luckily, nobody was hurt as all drivers were wearing seatbelts. TMZ also reported that Vince McMahon was issued a misdemeanour summons for reckless driving and for following the BMW too closely, and has a court date scheduled for August.

TMZ has uploaded photos of the cars following the crash, and the damage to the vehicles is pretty severe.

What Else Did Vince McMahon Do On July 24?

July 24 was also the day that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71, and McMahon made a rare public statement on Twitter, mourning the death of Hogan and stating that he was the greatest WWE star of all time.

McMahon joined many other members of the wrestling world in paying tribute to the late Hogan following his death. The crash, while it did occur on the same day as Hogan’s death, happened before Hogan’s passing, as he was not pronounced dead until 11:17 a.m.
