Triple H Won’t Commit To Making WWE Evolution Annual Event

Triple H is waiting to see if there’s demand for more women-only events before committing to the future of WWE Evolution.
Seven years after the first all-women show, WWE held Evolution 2 on July 13th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event saw multiple legends make appearances to see the likes of Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton put their titles on the line, while Jade Cargill and Naomi met in a No Holds Barred grudge match, and Stephanie Vaquer overcame 19 other women to claim a shot for a World Championship at Clash in Paris.
The biggest shock of the night came when Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase to make the main event Women’s World Title match between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley into a Triple Threat. The star made quick work of SKY with the briefcase before taking Ripley out and pinning the Genius of the Sky to win singles WWE gold for the first time since 2017.
Triple H Comments On Making WWE Evolution An Annual Event
During the post-Evolution press conference, Triple H responded to a question from Emily Mae of WrestlingNews.co about making it an annual event. The Game doesn’t believe women need their own show to be in the spotlight, but is waiting to see what the demand is for another installment.
“It’s just an epic show. It was a women’s show, yes, but it was just an epic show. It was an epic WWE production show. I like that. I love the fact that the women are now every bit a part of the show in every aspect of it. At any point in time they can main event if it’s the story. It’s all there.
“Having a night like tonight where they can all come together and celebrate that, it worked out well here tonight. As we move forward, I don’t want to say it’s yearly or not yearly. I think we see what that demand is for it.
“As the demand for the women grows across the board every day, it becomes less about having their own show. That’s equality; it’s all there. They don’t have to have their show to be in the spotlight, but if it works, we’ll definitely go down that road again. It’s a ‘we shall see.’”
