Tony Khan Claims Forbidden Door 2025 Already One Of Biggest Gates In AEW History

Tony Khan believes AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 will be the biggest edition yet.
On August 24th, Forbidden Door will take place in London, England, for the first time. The event will be held in the city’s O2 Arena, and Tony Khan is already confident the show will be “massive.”
During an interview with Raj Prashad of Yahoo Sports Uncrowned, Khan revealed that the cross-promotional event already has one of the biggest gates in the history of the company, with six weeks still to go.
“Each year Forbidden Door has emanated from an iconic wrestling venue in one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world, and this year will be the biggest one yet.
“It’s one of the biggest gates in the history of AEW already, and it’s going to be a massive event collaborating with our friends and partners at New Japan Pro Wrestling.”
In 2023 and 2024, All Elite Wrestling took over London’s Wembley Stadium for the first two editions of All In, but Khan recently explained that they were unable to secure the stadium for 2025 due to Coldplay having booked it out for that weekend years in advance.
Huge Stipulations Added To AEW All In Matches
This year, All In takes place at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and over the past week, major stipulations have been added to big matches on the card.
This includes The Young Bucks agreeing to put their EVP positions on the line against Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, but only because, if they lose, Ospreay and Strickland won’t be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship for a year.
Meanwhile, in the main event, Hangman Adam Page will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title in a Texas Death Match after The Death Rider reluctantly agreed to the brutal stipulation.
