The Undertaker Admits Giving Charlotte Flair Terrible Advice

By Craig Ballantyne on 15 July 2025

The Undertaker gave Charlotte Flair the worst advice he’s ever given anyone.

The Undertaker is currently starring in WWE LFG as a mentor to prospective young wrestling stars. With decades of experience in the pro wrestling business, there’s no doubt that The Deadman’s advice is highly sought after, but that doesn’t mean he always gets it right.

On the latest edition of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker spoke to Charlotte Flair about her early days in the company and recalled giving her advice that turned out to be terrible in hindsight.

“I’m responsible for probably giving you the worst advice I ever gave anyone. Do you remember that?

“You were here in Orlando, you were training. I remember because I was in Orlando getting ready for a ‘Mania. I’d watched you work, I pulled you aside and I was like, ‘You know, I think you might wanna kind of pave… You might wanna develop a different personality and do something different.’

I’d never been so wrong on anything [laughs]”

The Undertaker’s Advice Might Not Have Been Too Far Off The Mark

While Undertaker believes his advice was flat out wrong, Flair admitted that things could have gone differently if she had taken a different approach to being the daughter of the legendary Ric Flair.

“It could have gone either way. It was a difficult task, but I feel like if I could do one thing over, I wish I would have done, just as I was making… I still feel like I have room to improve, to get better, to grow, just because that’s who I am. But I wish I could have owned it more, like, taken it to the next level.

“Had I not had such, well, I still have a chip on my shoulder, but had I not been, ‘No! But I’m really good guys, even though I’m Ric’s kid,’ instead of going, ‘Yeah, it doesn’t matter I’m Ric’s kid,’ and rode that wave. I didn’t know how to do that as an athlete. Now, I understand the entertainment part of it.”

Where do you think Charlotte Flair would be today if she had taken The Undertaker’s advice? Did she handle being in the shadow of her famous father well? LEt us know your thoughts down below!
