Shayna Baszler Makes Surprise Return To WWE At NXT Homecoming
By Conor Renshaw on 17 September 2025
Former two-time NXT Women’s Champion and former three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler made a surprise return to WWE on last night’s NXT Homecoming.
Baszler shocked fans as she confronted Zaria and Sol Ruca in a backstage segment last night, as Zaria and Ruca were arguing about losing their Triple Threat number one contender’s match for a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title on last week’s episode of NXT.
Lainey Reid interrupted the team’s discussion first, followed by Candice LeRae, then Baszler entered the frame, and both Reid and LeRae quickly exited. Baszler then reminded the duo of Ruca and Zaria of her own history in NXT and told them that they needed to resolve their issues.
